I'm trying to build a sisters + GK or GK + sisters, doesn't matter list to somehow make it a bit more compeitive.

So far I know for sure I want Justicar Thawn in there with St. celestine cept I have no idea how to synergize the two armies other than this undying duo. Maybe just deep strike the terminators and st.celestine along with seraphrm deep into enemy lines?

What kind of list would you guys build with just those 2 units as the manantory choices but still have some kind of usefulness and not just get laughed off the table?

Not looking to curb stomp anything but at least give the enemy a decent challenge.

I see that you don't really care who is the main army, but I would go with grey knights are the primary army and sisters as the ally. However I don't know the points cost of the sisters models so I can't really help on a list.

Well, at the 1500 pt level, I'd go without allies. It appears to me that they dilute effectiveness. You have to take 2 HQs, that's already too much at this pt level.

I'd take a pure army and go for Sisters in this respect, since the models are cheaper pt-wise.

I'm pretty sure I can be more competitive if I go solo with something but I got plenty of GK's already

I'm doing this for somewhat fluff reasons to combine the two groups but thanks for the suggestion

GK can take a very cheap HQ and sisters can take one that struggles to die.

Personally I see GK doing everything better than the sisters, as the advice should be take the best elements of both codices in way that they work together.

After messing around for a while with list building, I'm thinking of:

St. Celesitine + seraphrim deep stirking in along with Justicar thawn + terminators

Foot slogging across the field I'll have some battle sisters and cotez and henchmen and friends as overlapping fire zones (probably behind an aegis)

Repentia and a DK as CC assets to provide some bullet magnets till the deep strikers arrive as they get across the field

If there's any points left over, I'll throw down a storm raven and some AC dreads or exorcist as fire support choices.

I have a feeling I'll be pretty short on points afer a maxed out seraphrim and terminator squad though...

that's a pretty good fire power list. I actually like it. repentia are fun choice but I think will underperform compared to yours above.

My list shouldn't get you laughed at and it may curb stomp someone now and again; it's definitely up to clubbing baby seals. The extra points are easily assigned; it's a matter of "season to taste".

Celestine and Thrawn are a combination I've considered as well. Since I've played Battle Sisters since third edition, I've got plenty of them so I'd use SoB as the primary detachment and GK as the allies.

Sadly, the points don't really work for me; perhaps at 1999 I could make something work.
