Drop the sponsons on the LRBT, as to fire both of them you can not move. The Lumbering Behemoth rules means you can fire your turret weapon and /one/ other weapon when you move up to 6".

For your Chimeras... if they are attacking, go hull heavy flamer, keep the Turrets MLs as they are Str 6.

The MoO in the Command Squad means your plasma guns can not fire on a seperate target that the MoO 'fires' on. That is fine when your plasma guns have nothing to shoot at, but after a turn or two your either not firing your MoO (because having him scatter into your own CC is a bad, bad, idea) or your not firing the plasma. Drop him or re-config your CC to be able to fire on the same units the MoO is. I personally feel I can spend those points better elsewhere.

If you drop the Sponsons and the MoO you could get a second HQ (Psyker?) and a heavy weapon in your CC (as well as camo cloaks). If you drop all of the Grenadiers and Demolitions as well you may be able to get another Vet+Chimera squad or another LRBT. Since your low on scoring units, I would go Vets.

Been playing 40k on and off since 89.
Armies...
Orks, Eldar, Lamentors, Pre-Heresy EC, CSM EC, and IG.

Thanks for the feedback. I dropped the MoO, only put him in because I thought he could fire on his own target. Dropped the sponsons as well and added a psyker. Was hoping I could get a psyker in there somewhere so I am quite pleased with that!

What I'd like to know is when the doctrines would be a good choice vs. more, slightly weaker veterans.

Hey buddy,

Snare mines and Camo Cloaks are amazing if you can guarantee there is cover on the board so unless your bringing a fortification then maybe not.

Grenadiers are there if your not going to be hugging cover (or in a transport), if you are planning on your men being in the open for a turn or more it's a safe investment as it will actually give you saves against most small arms forcing your opponent to actually use heavier weapons.

Demolitions are interesting, I've never used them myself, but the ability to give your entire squad melta bombs is very strong as you'll trash any vehicle you get into combat with... But whether you get into combat enough to warrant it is dependant on your game/metagame locally. The demo charge is also nice but range dependant.

For a veteran list, I'd consider taking Harker, as with camo cloaks and catachan devils you get +2 to cover saves. Infiltrate allows you to deploy on whichever ruins you like for a 2+ save. Add a heavy bolter and you have 2 heavy bolters with 2+ saves hitting them from the sides. As you have them there to hit your opponent in the flank as he marches towards your mainstay of the army using infiltrate fully. Only a strategy I'd use in 1k but it could be quite fun.

Okay I've made some changes based on feedback. Here's the new list:

HQ:
CCS
-2x PG, AC HW team
-Carapace, Camo cloak

Primaris Psyker

Troops:
Vet Squad 1
-3x MG
-Chimera, ML, HHF

Vet Squad 2
-2x MG
-Chimera, HF, HHF

Vet Squad 3
-3x PG
-Chimera, ML, HHB

Vet Squad 4
-Harker
-3x PG
-HB HW team

Heavy Support:
Leman Russ BT
-hull HB

1000 points

So I dropped Marbo to squeeze some more special weapons into the veteran squads. Put a Harker squad in because I like the sound of two flanking HBs. I guess my main concern is that the CCS will be sitting ducks since they don't have a Chimera, though I suppose I could move them up behind one of the vet squads. Plus the psyker has nightshroud so that would be useful.

Other than that I'm not really sure how else I could improve the list. Any more suggestions?
