My Necrons

Lord with gauntlet of fire, sempiternal weave, resurrection orb, mindshackle scarabs.
Protected by 4 Lychguards with hyper phase swords and dispersion shields.

My friends Blood Angels

I'm not sure about specific details but...

sergeant of some sorts with bolter pistol and power sword
protected by 7(?) marines one with a rocket launcher all with red thirst.

8(?) marines nothing special some had power weapons no red thirst.

dreadnaught with heavy or storm bolter, I forget, and a melee weapon but that doesn't matter, I was smart enough to imobilize his dreadnaught ASAP.

First turn, he took initiative. Moves all guys up no shots fired.

I move lychguard and lord up.

fire 4 into 1 I somehow get 4 hits and 3 wounds he saves one. (my one lucky break was 2 kills pretty sad, I know)

All in all we had a good laugh at my misfortune in rolls and I plan to have a rematch especially since this was my third warhammer 40k/ table top game ever and my first with my own army. My first was me playing tau and a guy I had just met playing vanilla marines. I killed almost all his guys except one and he had only taken out one squad and two in my last squad. He assaulted me and after 5 turns of combat, his one guy had beaten all 7 tau.

My second was me playing imperial guard against same friend in this battle. It was actually very similar to this battle except I had all the good rolls and just obliterated his Blood Angels. in 3 turns.

You can only take lychguard in minimum size squads of 5 by the way

I didn't have my list with me so my friend let me break the rule just to speed things up.

Man, tough break. I admire your dedication in typing up the battlefield though, it must've been a pain

The ascii diagrams are a nice attempt to show what happened but are fairly hard to follow I'm afraid.
I'd recommend even a basic paint program with squares etc than this.
Either that or leave them out altogether and "paint" the battlerep with words.
