I mentioned a while back, if any of you noticed, that I was planning to start a "dinosaur" themed space marine army, and that I would make cavalry units. Well, I have. Enjoy.

Space marines + Dinosaurs. You can't really make this bad, even if you tried. What are you planning on using them as in games? Bikes?

Stegadon Landraiders. It needs to happen. Just fuze the Lizardmen range with the Space Marine range. So epic. XD

These kind of models work great with the new rules, just ad some spacewolf allies (rulewise) and paint them like the rest of your army = legally count as TWC in a salamanders army. (perhaps a bit small, but I bet there is a bunch of home brew TWC still out there).

A few months ago, looking at a box of dark elfs knights (or something similar) I was wondering the same, identical, project, but I still haven't bought the pieces I need... you did! And the result, let me say, it's simply awesome!!

Really like the paint scheme...the colors work well together. Not sold on marines mounted on lizards though. Personally marines mounted on anything except bikes seems funny to me, since the ceramite suits are supposed to be hulking heaps of heavy metal....seems like it would crush the vertebrae of a dinosaur....

I'm possibly planning to make another one with bionic limbs, but what with low availability on bits and kits, and let the dice decide, that may be a while. Until then, I will post pictures of my raptor marines regularly. P.S. has anyone thought of a better name for them? I kinda need more suggestions from people with imagination. As I say, I asked games workshop staff and they didn't have a clue...
