Hello, I'm going to pick the DakkaDakka Community's collective mind on this:

Would these skeleton models (outfitted with gauss flayers of course) make good count as Necron Warriors (perhaps even necrons that are becoming flayed ones)?

Hmm... I'm going to go with no. They're a little too organic and not nearly robotic enough, plus the scale of their head makes them look more comical than menacing. As for the flayed one idea, again, too much organic bone, and less a metal monster desperately trying to get a real body back.

Nice idea though, just not those.

I'm afraid not - the bones are too rounded, the curves are too soft, etc. The Necron models are angular death robots with a design based on the human skeleton, but they don't look exactly like it.

Well, I don't completely hate the idea of Necrons altering their external appearance (via some factory reprogramming) to look like human skeletons to terrify their enemies - fluffwise it could make some sense if they have reason to particularly hate humans.

But:
- they'll probably just look like a converted skeleton army
- you could maybe paint them in metallics - like the T1000 in the Terminator movie - but even then they'll look like painted skeletons

The only way I see it really working visually is if you somehow also made techno-skeletal versions of all the other army components too - sort of a high-tech version of Tomb Kings and their undead constructs. This would be a massive modelling project to do well though.
