Do blessings and maledictions require line of sight for purposes of firing out of a vehicle (ie. Rhino) and if they do can they use the Rhinos fire points to use them.

The reason I ask is that on pg 69 under the witchfire entry it says that fire points can be used to fire a witchfire power as they must have LOS to fire the witchfire.

Blessings and Maledictions have no LOS requirements under their heading.

However pg 67, under declare target, “unless stated otherwise, a Psyker must have line of sight to his target. “

Pg 78, under fire points, may use fire points to fire witchfire/ psychic shooting attacks

The way I’m seeing it, unless the power is a witchfire/focused witchfire (ie. Making a shooting attack) that Blessings and Maledictions may not be used from the firepoint.


Please tell me this isn’t so.

Pretty much right. If a psychic power requires LOS (which pretty much all of them do), and it is not witchfire, then you cannot use it to target anything outside vehicle while embarked.

Like you said, relevant rules are found on the "Declare target" paragraph on page 67.

Note: Exactly same thing applies to wargear / special rules that require LOS.
