Hi,
Does any one know if burna boyz or tankbustas can go in trukks?
Thanks
|
I can see it now....Nids are now a collection of autonomous hive fleets there are multiple Hive Minds and they all war with one another in addition to everyone else. They speak to humans using telepathy, and they can now ally with Space Wolves as battle brothers, because reasons.
Tyranids talking to humans would be like you talking to your mashed potatoes or the probiotic in your kiefer drink. It is neither possible nor productive. Inside my mind I pinched my nipples and savored his bitter silence.

They can, but as Trukks are only available as dedicated transports, they can never start the game in one.

Yeah, if it's empty and they're deployed next to the Trukk, then can embark on your first turn,

Enjoy! Remember to use Overwatch with your burnas on anyone foolish enough to charge your Trukk.

Keep in mind that you need to have unit of nobz or a unit of 12 boyz or less in order to get that empty trukk. You can't just buy it.

7 Ork facts people always get wrong:
Ragnar did not win against Thrakka, but suffered two crushing defeats within a few days of each other.
A lasgun is powerful enough to sever an ork's appendage or head in a single, well aimed shot.
Orks meks have a better understanding of electrics and mechanics than most Tech Priests.
Orks actually do not think that purple makes them harder to see. The joke was made canon by Alex Stewart's Caphias Cain books.
Gharkull Blackfang did not even come close to killing the emperor.
Orks can be corrupted by chaos, but few of them have any interest in what chaos offers.
Orks do not have the power of believe. |

I'd reconsider and use Looted Wagons (same price, AV is better, no need to buy other units) or even a Battlewagon.

Are you 100% on this, I thought I remembered reading something about being able to purchase a dedicated transport even if the entire unit couldn't fit, they can have it, just cant be in it.

Codex: Orks specifically limits the Trukk to units of 12 or less.
Under options: Mobs of 12 or fewer models may take a Trukk as a dedicated transport vehicle.

It's an oft-argued topic at my FLGS. The problem is that some codices specifically say that you can't buy a transport if the unit can't fit inside of it. Others have no such restrictions. The only two I know of off the top of my head are Orks and Dark Eldar, and I believe that at least the Space Wolves codex just says that a unit can buy a dedicated transport as an option, no restriction on unit size.

Eldar can only buy a transport if the unit will fit, however, it only affects two units.

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.
Orks always ride in single file to hide their strength and numbers.

Ah yes, the ol' burnatrukk. Pop a bunch of burnaboys inside a trukk or other transport and fly in torching everything. As previiously mentioned, this edition makes burnaboys wretchedly good with overwatch. Trukk is one way to go, but the random mob of 12 boys makes the trukk cost 95 (without nob), might aswell get a Battlewagon w/ ram for that much.
