For the Imperial Guard army that I am assembling I wanted to go with something of a world war 2 theme, mostly with the battles on the eastern front, so - seeing as Swastikas may be frowned upon - I went with a Soviet Red army theme, and have my IG regiment as deserters because most of the people I'd be playing with play space marines and they'd need a reason to be fighting...after delving more into lore the Tau idea of a Greater Good seems very similar to communism but on a galactic scale, so i was going to base my fluff and back story on the Commissar being seduced by the Greater Good and - unbeknownst to her own army - breaking off contact with the Imperium to join the Tau...

I was told that while it is rare, there was a sourcebook on Humans working with the Tau - it was one of the Forgeworld Imperial Armour books - but I can't find it in stock anywhere - even forgeworld is sold out - so I was wondering if any of you might be able to explain the circumstances in which the Tau would be willing to align themselves with humans? It doesn't really seem like an arrangement the Tau would find beneficial, but I need something....

The specific sourcebook was the Taros campaign....

thanks in advance
