Yesterday I put my airbrush in for cleaning in the sonic cleaner with some isopropynol and water as I always have, I took out the needle and took off the nozzle

When I came to take it out for drying I found the following bits had come seperated in the waterbath and have no idea where they come from

http://postimage.org/image/4slb40nbj/

If the image isn'ty good enought to see its a small spring about a cm long
a brass tube with a o ring around it and a small brass ring that has screw threads on the outside

where do these go so I can put my airbrush back together

Thanks for your help

Those are from the valve. The vibration from the cleaner has unscrewed the assembly.

The spring goes on the chamfered brass section (other side from the sealing ring.

Insert those into the valve body, and with a pair of needle-tip tweezers hold the little brass ring with the notches. Use that to press down the rod into the valve body and then screw it in.

Unless you've managed to blow paint back to where the valve is, it's unsual to have to clean it. I normally remove the valve from the brush body before putting it in the cleaner.

You've (probably) not tightened the spring in the valve; it should spring pushing the pin and rubber stop 'up' toward the body of the brush (and closing the flow)- it's this that pushes the trigger 'up. Push against the spring, it should open the valve. Check the motion of the valve before you fit it to the brush. It's also possible you've got a sticky valve; the pieces in your photo are rather tarnished. Clean it with a little brasso wadding, put some AB lube on the pin and it should work again.

I had a similar problem and i was not putting my trigger back in correctly, there was a small indentation that i had to get the trigger in, and it would not work unless it was a perfect fit, it was quite an awkward task.
maybe that is your problem ?

Without the trigger, the valve stays shut. The issue here is that the valve is open.
