"Sometime this fall" is about as specific as the announcements have been thus far.

If you simply can't wait you can make a trail account and play up to lvl 20.

I think it is to 15, you can only talk in /say, can't send /tells or talk in general chat, and you can not increase storage or use your safe/vault. It is possible to party, but you won't be able to respond to shouts for people looking for groups. It mostly just lets you play the story mode for 15 levels.

15 Levels already allows for some fun story and the first Flashpoint.

Sure, though finding a party for that flashpoint is a bit tricky since you can't respond to shouts or make them yourself. You have to wait around the entrance and hope someone else comes nearby to look for a party so you can talk to them. They should have allowed a bit more openness in the trial for potential players to get a better feel for it.

Not that tricky, though. Contrary to popular opinion, you actually only need 2 people for the first Flashpoint (but a full group of 4 for any other) - and from experience, the entrance to Esseles/BlackTalon is very frequented, as the story pushes you towards doing this Flashpoint at least once.

Everyone needs to go to Coruscant/Dromund, so they either have the choice of doing a short and cool FP and grab a couple rewards + xp and social points, or take a shuttle. Few people do the latter, unless they already did the FP to death on other characters.

Compared to being able to being able to respond to someone shouting for others, or doing the shouting yourself, it is much more of a pain in the ass. You have to wait by the flashpoint entrance and hope that someone notices you talking in /say and doesn't have a party already, is paying attention, and wants to do it. Compared to people who don't have 90% of their communication options cut off, it is tricky. I didn't say it was Organic Chemistry hard, and I wasn't referring to doing the flashpoint itself, just finding a party. You also have to contextualize it from the perspective of a person that has never played the game before and doesn't know where to go or what to do, and it is an annoying obstacle. The trial should be more like the one for Rift, which is level 20 cap, lets you use all chat lines, doesn't restrict dungeons or PvP arenas, and lets you use the AH. The limits, besides the level cap, are that you can only craft up to tier 1, and can only hold 5 platinum.

To be clear, I'm referring to it being tricky for totally new players. For someone not in the know, or that doesn't have a friend walking them through some stuff, it will be a bit more of a pain to navigate then if they could ask for help or advice.

I know it's not as easy as if you had full access, I just still think it isn't difficult.

There is only a single Flashpoint gateway, so you can assume that anyone standing there is looking for other players wanting to do this FP. Most people trying to build a group will wait in that corridor, so all you have to do is go there and voice your intentions - at least during peak times there will always be some people waiting there, although this will include 50s who want to do the Hard Mode.

I can see it being a problem when you want to find a group in the middle of the night or something, because then the likelihood of people assembling at the FP entrance is much lower, and most will prefer doing something else (like browsing the Exchange) until they have a group. Then it will be tricky.

Again, I didn't say it was akin to plotting an interstellar trajectory for a deep space satellite. It is a bit of a speed bump for new players, and if the idea is to get them to join, one of the best ways is to get them to feel part of the community, and if they can barely talk to anyone, that might be frustrating. I think it was a bad decision on their part to limit it so much.
