So my friends and I are going to be playing some games today, possibly a little tournament, and I have a list ready. These are all the units/vehicles I actually have at the moment without proxying anything, so it isn't an ideal list by any means. That being said, I have my army at 1600 and my friend running Eldar is kindly letting me borrow 500 points of space elves. The problem is that I don't have an Eldar codex and really don't know the first thing about which units work well with D'eldar.

So, what's 400 points worth of Eldar that'll really round out this army?

HQ
Lilith Hesperax 175 points

Haemonculus Ancient 80 points
Venom blade
Liquifier gun
Webway portal
130 points

Elites
Grotesques 105 points
Liquifier gun
Aberration
Flesh gauntlet
145 points

Harlequins 180 points
Harlequin's Kiss
Death Jester
Shadowseer
260 points

Kabalite Trueborn 48 points
Blaster
Venom
Splinter cannon
173 points

Troops
Kabalite Warriors 108 points
Blaster
123 points

Wyches 100 points
Hydra Gauntlets
Hekatrix
Agoniser
Haywire grenades
Raider
Shock prow
Grisly trophies
235 points

Fast Attack
Scourges 110 points

Reavers 66 points
Heat lance
78 points

Heavy Support
Razorwing Jetfighter 145 points
Disintegrator cannons
Splinter cannon
Night shields
165 points

Total: 1599 before Eldar

YOu could make the Harlequins normal Eldar. Then take Eldrad. 2+ rerollable cover save when in 5+ cover or 4+ rerollable in the open with Eldrad in the squad fortuning them(Eldrad can't fortune dark eldar harlequins). Then I'd take either 2 squads of 3 guardian jetbikes with a shuriken cannon for 76pts or 1 big squad of 6 w/ two cannons. Eldrad and the jetbikes would be 362 points. That leaves some room for some upgrades like haywire blasters on the scourges or a dark lance in the warrior squad.

Silly Mon-keigh, tricks are for Eldar....

+ - 2000pts

@Overlord Zerrtin Definitely need to round out troops for objective-taking goodness. Maybe rangers?

@Sphe I really like the idea for the harlies. I was originally going to run them with Lilith, but now I might drop the hekatrix and put Lilith in the raider w/ the wyches and take your advice. I'm pretty positive my friend doesn't have guardian jetbikes (we could easily proxy, though).

I would defenatly go for Rangers for troops they are truly annoying for the opponent.

#1) do not list point costs for wargear upgrades. That is against the forum rules.

#2) You didn't lsit what he has available, which will kinda matter for what we can suggest.

#3) Make the Harliquins Eldar Harliquins (same cost except Eldar powers can then be cast on them) and Attach Eldrad. Then take a unit of either Guardian jetbikes with warlock or Pathfinders.

1) Edited my original post. I had my list that way in notepad for reference, didn't know it was against the rules. My apologies.

2) I don't know what he has to be exact. The harlequins are his models and he definitely has rangers/pathfinders, but beyond that I'm just as in the dark as you. I should've specified that I would like suggestions I suppose.

3) Yep, this seems to be the prevailing logic.

Actually no to #3. That is the most vocal side is saying. It also causes the fewest arguments which is why I do it.

As for the original question:
HQ: Farseer w/ Doom and fortune or Eldrad
Troops: Pathfinders. These guys can camp objectives which is something normal DE can't do well.
Elites: Fire Dragons or Harlies
HS: War Walkers since we can't take multiple fire prisms.

BT uses the Codex Astartes as toilet paper. They’re an Imp Fist successor, recruit from multiple planets, and are known to be the largest Chapter in the galaxy. They’re on a constant Crusade, keeping it real for the Emperor and not bumming around like the other guys. They hate psykers and can’t ally with them. They’re basically an entire chapter of Chaplains. CC lunatics. What every Space Marine should aspire to be, if not trapped in a Matt Ward nightmare.
