It becomes obvious that stress is building in the United States, who are (un)surprisingly among the least happy people in the world right now, according to some poles. The nation is also increasingly polarized. Historically, this is very similar to the lead up to the American Civil War.
Given that politicians seem intent on heightening rather then diffusing the situation, what are your thoughts on the result?

Oh wait deep down below the nonsense you had some sort of question. I'm too old a bunny to get excited about the current political state, like its new or something. Its a cycle. It will get better. then it will get worse again. Then ROdney will figure out the launch codes and fire the ICB's in a woefully misguided attempt to save us all from cat domination. Then the roaches will rule for ten thousand years. All hail our new roach overlords!

Granted, my opinion is rather tainted by the US treatment of me, my family, my ancestors going back quite a ways on my father's side (in much the same way that I dislike England for the same on my mother's side). You're happy to have us kill for you, but the rest of the time: "Um, just pretend to all be dead, or something? Unless you're doing that 'Noble Savage' thing on television for us." and get pissy if we go kill for other people for money. (ironically, again, this is true of both sides, just subbing in England for the US and 'Nobel Savage' for 'drunken lout' on mom's side)

If you are going to focus and irrational emotion like rage at a thing, and blame America for your bitterness, you might as well be more specific about what ancestors were wronged that left you as we see/read you today: a bitter husk of a human being, hollowed empty by events that happened to others. Wronging groups in the past was a hobby of the country's, and most others to be fair, so you might need to be more specific.
Edit: NM, you added more info later that clarified it somewhat.
It has a very 'everyone else in the world is an donkey-cave except me and if everyone would just live the way I think they should everything would be better', which of course ignores that everyone else is thinking the same of you. We're all that donkey-cave that just doesn't understand to someone else.

No, I've met plenty of decent folks in my life. The problem I have is the people that deserve to get theirs never seem to, and the US likes to hide it's hypocrisy and crimes against humanity behind a mask of righteousness.

The problem with that is the more dysfunctional the government, the more likely it is to breed rebellion. The US Congress at the turn of the Civil War was dysfunctional to the point they were actually beating one another.

I have to disagree; I happen to think a violent civil war is looming in America. When it happens it will start left vs right and end up being fought by geographic strongholds that transcend politics.

If I tried to make a thread about every last thing, I'd get a forum ban for spam. Just in the Allegany Territory alone in the last five years there has been enough anti-native violence that the national guard was called out at one point.
Though I must admit that the one where two DEA agents got banished, of all things, was pretty funny.

Not sure if I agree with this, any civil infighting/war would quickly be crushed by federal troops. There simply isn't enough hardware to raise a force capable of defeating the US military. Stalemate it? possibly, terrain dependant, make it slow and bloody? probably
Supposing civil war did break out, I think it wouldn't really fall into left v right, as most americans really dont identify with one camp. The majority tend to be moderate. On geographic location, most Americans identify as american, then followed by state/etc

You have sort of a 'hit a kid to teach them to not hit' kind of attitude going on here. You complain that everyone is stupid and vicious, yet you present yourself as just as bad, and if given hald a chance would do the same thing to people you don't like: you are becoming what you disdain.

Well, damned if that isn't what my parents did. Let me put it this way, every time we've tried things the 'nice way' we've gotten the shaft. The worst the US will let us do is file charges with New York and deport the subject. The one occasion we had a New York state trooper cold for shooting an unarmed man in the back five times, all the evidence and all police recordings for the entire night magically disappeared.
