Topic is basically the discussion. In a 150 point or lower game is it worth taking a doctor or medic or hacker? I know some lists like Aleph need that hacker for the remotes, but I can also see these special skill characters being order hogs and in a smaller game orders would be sparse to start.

I would take a doctor in sub-150 if I can find the place for it. Always worth having one IMO, since it can give you an extra shot with your big gun or force your opponent to actually kill all your models instead of just getting them unconscious.
But a medic? No no no, I never take medics. My Doctors kill patients on a regular basis, and a medic with even less chance to save the patient would surely not work out nice...
And I wouldn't take a hacker sub-150. I don't take Hackers until we're at 200 points. In lower games there's too few uses for too many points.

Although tbh I don't really play less than 250 any more as all the guys in my usual group have plenty of toys to tally up the points without going ott on the model count!

I agree. Dr. is great if you have extra points. Hacker and Engineer not so much at low points.
