I have been considering running a Kickstarter campaign and wanted to know what websites people thought it would be a good idea to advertise on? The Kickstarter would be for some miniatures.

Here in the news & rumors section, tabletopgamingnews.com, theminiaturespage.com, beastsofwar.com and also boardgamegeek.com has a forum just for kickstarters and that's a good place too.

It would also help to know what kind of miniatures: Sci-Fi, Fantasy, historical, vehicles, space ships, anthromorphic vampires?

Also, what scale: 28mm, 54mm, 15mm?

Good point. This kickstarter will be for some 28mm fantasy orcs I have had sculpted up. Different from the average GW orc. Human sized with historical looking armor and weapons instead of giant meat cleavers. Sort of an old school take on orcs instead of the more modern approach taken by a lot of companies these days.

You might also check out the Coolminiornot forums. I'm not a member of any fantasy forums, so I can't really help there.

Perhaps also check out forums for RPG's like Paizo's Pathfinder and Wizard of the Coasts Dungeons and Dragons.

Spam it to all your friends of Facebook/twitter/whatnot and ask them to do the same. And forums like this.

You might also throw a post up on Reddit. The site gets a ton of traffic from all types of people, so even just tossing a link there might get you a few backers.
