Okay, there's a really badly written sentence in Deliverance Lost and I was wondering if you guys could tell me what it means.

Spoiler:
''The Emperor extracted only a few elements of the original [Primarch DNA) data to create the Legiones Astartes strain, and about a dozen more in the Legios Custodes data we retrieved from the terran vault'' Does this mean Space Marines contain a dozen Custodes genetic codes, or that Custodes have a dozen more Primarch elements than Space Marines? It's just bugging me because the sentence makes almost no sense.

It means that the Emperor used some of the Custodes traits that were desirable in the creation of Astartes geneseed.

Of course the Astartes bear little resemblence to the Custodes. They are created using 2 very different processes(Custodes are grown in test tubes, they arn't human in any way, shape, or form)

Self-proclaimed evil Cat-person. Dues Ex Felines

Cato Sicarius, after force feeding Captain Ventris a copy of the Codex Astartes for having the audacity to play Deathwatch, chokes to death on his own D-baggery after finding Calgar assembling his new Eldar army.

York/London(for weekends) oh for the glory of the british rail industry

The Custodes were developed before either the Primarchs or Space Marines. It is likely that the Emperor used the sucess of the Custodes to develop the Space Marines.

Relictors: 1500pts

its safe to say that relictors are the greatest army a man , nay human can own.
