There is a bit of an debate as to whether or not to take a full platoon of PzIV's. A lot of people say always take a full strength platoon while others say only take 3/4. The argument being that if a company loses more than half of its operational units then it must take a morale check. If you lose 3 tanks out a 5 tank platoon then you stand to lose the use of 2 operational tanks if they fail a morale check. If you have a 3/4 tank platoon then you only stand to lose 1 operational tank.
(I think this is correct anyway)
Just some food for thought.

I would downgrade the Wespes to Panzerwerfers and drop the AA completely. I would then increase the size of the second panzer grenadier platoon and you should have the points left to upgrade the 88's to Hornisse.
Panzerwerfers are cheaper and have a good bombardment capabilty. Air isn't very good in FoW and you don't have much in the way of static troops that need AA protection so AA is something that I leave at home for lists that don't have a lot of towed artillery.
You really, really need full strength Panzergrenadiers.
88's are good but not that good in late war and as they are immobile they tend to either be ignored or simply killed off. The hornisse are mobile, they can penetrate any tank in the game and they have the range to do so in relative safety. the main downside to them is that if they do get hit they are probably dead (but then the same can be said of 88's).

I´am sorry, but i dont see the option to take some Hornisse.
Only the Panzerpioniers have this option. And this would look like this:
Gepanzerte PanzerPionier
Gepanzerte Panzer Pionier Company HQ - 1x CinC SMG, 1x 2iC SMG, 2x Sd Kfz 251/1
- Mortar Section - 2x Sd Kfz 251/2 (8cm)
Compulsory Gepanzerte Panzerpionier Platoon
1x Command Pioneer MG, 1x Sd Kfz 251/1, 6x Pioneer MG, 3x Sd Kfz 251/7
- Command Upgrade - 1x Replace Command Pioneer MG with Command Pioneer Panzerfaust SMG
Compulsory Gepanzerte Panzerpionier Platoon
1x Command Pioneer MG, 1x Sd Kfz 251/1, 6x Pioneer MG, 3x Sd Kfz 251/7
- Command Upgrade - 1x Replace Command Pioneer MG with Command Pioneer Panzerfaust SMG
Panzer Platoon
1x Command Panzer IVH, 3x Panzer IVH
Tank-Hunter Platoon
1x Command Hornisse, 2x Hornisse
Heavy Panzerspah Platoon
2x Command Sd Kfz 231 (8 rad), 2x Sd Kfz 231 (8 rad)
Armoured Rocket Launcher Battery
1x Command SMG, 1x Kfz 15 field Car, 1x Observer Rifle, 1x kubelwagen, 3x Panzerwerfer 42
- Additional Crew - 3x Additional Crew
1750 Points, 7 Platoons

Just some recommendations. Take from it what you will.
Company HQ
-> CinC SMG/Panzerfaust
-> 2iC SMG/Panzerfaust
-> Anti-Tank Section
Combat Platoons:
Panzergrenadier-Platoon I
-> 3 Squads
-> Command SMG/Panzerfaust
Panzergrenadier-Platoon II - Add the additional section. See below.
-> 2 Squads
-> Command SMG/Panzerfaust
Panzergrenadier Heavy Platoon ( the Machinegun section attach to Panzergrenadier-Platoon II to make it full strength) - Drop this platoon, and add in the third section to the second Panzergrenadier platoon. You've enough MGs to make the HMGs seems a tad useless.
-> 1x Machinegun Section
-> + 8cm Mortar Section
Divisional Support Platoons:
Panzer Platoon
-> 4 Panzer IV H - Personal preference. I find the extra point of front armour makes the assault guns more attractive. I'd go with 4 x StuG G or StuG IV.
Heavy Panzer Späh Platoon
-> 2x2 Sdkfz 231
Armoured Artillery Battery - Drop the Armd Arty for Armoured Rocket Launcher Battery of 4 xPanzerwerfer 42. Cheaper points, gives you smoke, and each launcher counts as two with the upgrade of the crew. Throw in a Pak38 to scare off light armour/ unarmoured vehicles/ half-tracks and your gold.
-> 3x Wespe
Anti Aircraft Gun Platoon - Go with 2 x Armoured Sd Kfz 7/1 Quad 2cm half-tracks. A drop in range by 8", but increases your ROF by each gun by two. Excellent platoon to move up with your assault guns and mechanized infantry. Good for the obvious AA, but great for pinning dismounted troops, can be a great asset for defensive for and will also kill most light armoured or unarmoured vehicles. And it they give you an armour value against small arms fire or even the odd light gun (If your lucky, lol.).
-> 2x Armoured Sdkfz 7/2 (3,7 cm)
Heavy Anti-Aircraft Gun Platoon - Keep this! Great for killing off aircraft, but more useful in detering armoured rushes on exposed flanks or a week center. I have a pair of 88s in every armylist for Germans.
-> 2x 8.8cm Flak36 + Crew
1745 points
The stuff I've added/ changed drops you down by one platoon but keeps you right on the 1750pt mark running w/ 7 x Platoons.

I second the monition . That you drop the HMG platoons, and that you take an Armored Rocket launcher batter instead of the Wespes. Everything else is up to you. But, I do have a Waring about the 88s. They can be really good on defensive missions.But in my experince they suck on the offensive. Just keep that in mind.

The HMG platoon isn't a bad choice but its only of any real use defensively against infantry. Thats something that doesn't ahppen all that often with a mechanised army.

What about using mortars for a cheaper smoke option? That appears to be the only thing missing.
Here's an option I would think of;
Gepanzerte Panzergrenadier Company HQ - 1x CinC SMG, 1x 2iC SMG, 2x Sd Kfz 251/1 (65 pts)
- 1x Upgrade CinC SMG to CinC SMG Panzerfaust (10 pts)
- 1x Upgrade 2iC SMG to 2iC SMG Panzerfaust (10 pts)
Gepanzerte Panzergrenadier Platoon - 1x Command MG, 1x Sd Kfz 251/1 or 251/10, 6x MG, 3x Sd Kfz 251/1 (220 pts)
- Command Upgrade - 1x Replace Command MG with Command Panzerfaust SMG (10 pts)
Gepanzerte Panzergrenadier Platoon - 1x Command MG, 1x Sd Kfz 251/1 or 251/10, 6x MG, 3x Sd Kfz 251/1 (220 pts)
- 1x Replace Command MG with Command Panzerfaust SMG (10 pts)
Gepanzerte Heavy Platoon - 1x Command SMG, 4x MG42 HMG, 1x Sd Kfz 251/1, 2x Sd Kfz 251/1 (HMG) (165 pts)
Gepanzerte Mortar Platoon - 1x Command SMG, 1x Sd Kfz 251/1 Half-track, 1x Observer Rifle, 1x Kubelwagen, 2x Sd Kfz 251/2C (8cm) halftrrack (90 pts)
Panzergrenadier Anti-tank Gun Platoon - 1x Command SMG, 3x 7.5cm PaK40, 1x Kfz 15 field Car, 3x Kfz 70 Truck (155 pts)
Panzer Platoon - 1x Command Panzer IVH, 4x Panzer IVH (450 pts)
Heavy Panzerspah Platoon - 2x Command Sd Kfz 231 (8 rad), 2x Sd Kfz 231 (8 rad) (160 pts)
Armored Rocket Launcher Battery - 1x Command SMG, 1x Kfz 15 field Car, 1x Observer Rifle, 1x kubelwagen, 3x Panzerwerfer 42 (165 pts)
- 3x Additional Crew (15 pts)
1745 Points, 9 Platoons
Use the mortars to smoke while your Rockets pin units. I would take the HMG's or combat-attach them out to your combat platoons to boost their stand count and firepower. Even on offense with their vehicle component, they become very useful.
You'll see I went with the cheaper AT of the PaK40's instead of the FlaK36 8.8cm guns; this allows for the inclusion of the mortars and we still keep the 5-unit Panzer IV platoon that you will use for assaults and digging out stubborn dug-in infantry.
Also, we keep the recon elements to help lift Gone-To-Ground on units and help prevent ambushes on the offensive and you have a high odd-numbered platoon count which can be useful if you decide to Kampfgruppe to even it out to 10 as an option.
I would only use the Wespes if I was running 5. SS Panzergrenadierkampfgruppe for their Danish rules as they become cheaper and shoot like Vets, though I do have a list that uses Hummels for a more brutal artillery option.

I strongly disagree. I got my arse handed to me by British aircraft in my last battle. I had limited anti aircraft (which were destroyed early on) and fixed artillery positions. The aircraft pinned my artillery which stayed pinned for 2 turns. They then passed over again and destroyed 3 of my guns and the staff team, forcing them off the board.
Anti aircraft is a must in my opinion. Even if they don't have aircraft to shoot at they are useful against infantry and light armour.

As I said if you have a lot of towed artillery (or if you play on tables with little or no terrain) AA is important, if you don't it isn't.

ok, here is another idee from me after i took your hints to heart.
So what about this list? I got mortars for smoke, arty to pin down infantery, 5 StuG G tanks, AAA and AT...
Only thing i am not happy with is the point how to deal with heavy tanks? Is it possible to kill them with the Stugs or the PAK40?
Gepanzerte Panzergrenadier Company HQ - 1x CinC SMG, 1x 2iC SMG, 2x Sd Kfz 251/1 (65 pts)
- CinC Upgrade - 1x Upgrade CinC SMG to CinC SMG Panzerfaust (10 pts)

- Panzerschreck - 1x Panzerschreck , 1x Sd Kfz 251/1 (40 pts)
Compulsory Gepanzerte Panzergrenadier Platoon - 1x Command MG, 1x Sd Kfz 251/1 or 251/10, 6x MG, 3x Sd Kfz 251/1 (220 pts)
- Command Upgrade - 1x Replace Command MG with Command Panzerfaust SMG (10 pts)

Looks good.
You have the bases covered. In regards to your AT assets, you can ambush the PaK40's in the missions that allow for it.
Basically, you're looking for flank shots where the armor is weaker and this is where the PaK40's do well.

You will do fine against most Western Allies lists but against anything with heavy tanks (Panzers, Soviets, British rifles) you will struggle. PaK 40s and to a lesser extent StuGs, are great against medium tanks but have difficulty taking out heavies; this means that you will be forced to rely upon your infantry to take them out in assaults which will be costly. Ambushing could work but its situational and most players will screen their heavies with recce. Heavy tanks are the reason why I am such a fan of Hornisse, (almost) nothing is safe from them.
If you aren't going to be facing anything heavy then the list is fine. I would prefer to see Pz IVs in an offensive army like this though, StuGs have difficulty attacking.

Hey, I am really really sorry, but its me again. Im extremly indecisived what to play.
On the one hand I found a really nice opportunity for my "Gepanzerte Panzergrenadiere".
I build a list with Forces, so i can get some Hornissen into my list.
In this list i got no AA, but i have to deal with. Excapt this all bases are covered. Heavy Tank AT, Smoke, Arty, Recce and Tank support.
Gepanzerte Panzergrenadier - Forces
Compulsory Gepanzerte Panzergrenadier Company HQ - 1x CinC SMG, 1x 2iC SMG, 2x Sd Kfz 251/1
- CinC Upgrade - 1x Upgrade CinC SMG to CinC SMG Panzerfaust
- 2iC Upgrade - 1x Upgrade 2iC SMG to 2iC SMG Panzerfaust
Compulsory Gepanzerte Panzergrenadier Platoon - 1x Command MG, 1x Sd Kfz 251/10, 6x MG, 3x Sd Kfz 251/1
- Command Upgrade - 1x Replace Command MG with Command Panzerfaust SMG
Compulsory Gepanzerte Panzergrenadier Platoon - 1x Command MG, 1x Sd Kfz 251/10, 6x MG, 3x Sd Kfz 251/1
- Command Upgrade - 1x Replace Command MG with Command Panzerfaust SMG
Gepanzerte Heavy Platoon - 1x Command SMG, 2x MG42 HMG, 1x Sd Kfz 251/1, 1x Sd Kfz 251/1 ( HMG), 1x Observer Rifle, 1x Kubelwagen, 2x Sd Kfz 251/2C (8cm) halftrrack
I will comabt attach the HMGs to a grenadier platoon. I cant get the mortars without them.
Panzer Platoon - 1x Command Panzer IVH, 3x Panzer IVH
Tank-Hunter Platoon - 1x Command Hornisse, 2x Hornisse
Panzerspah Patrol - 1x Command Sd Kfz 231 (8-rad), 1x Sd Kfz 231 (8-rad)
Armoured Artillery Battery - 1x Command SMG, 1x Staff, 1x Kfz 15 field Car, 1x Kfz 68 radio Truck, 1x Observer Rifle, 1x Sd Kfz 250, 3x Wespe
there is no opportunity for the Panzerwerfer 42, so i have to use the Wespen

Armoured Artillery Battery - 1x Command SMG, 1x Staff, 1x Kfz 15 field Car, 1x Kfz 68 radio Truck, 1x Observer Rifle, 1x Sd Kfz 250, 3x Wespe
there is no opportunity for the Panzerwerfer 42, so i have to use the Wespen

I think your problem deciding is: You mention that the style you play in 40k is more static, but Gepanzerte Panzergrenadier isn't this style at all. Honestly, I would go with the Gepanzerte Panzergrenadier because it seems to be the list your into right now. If you settle for something different, Gepanzerte Panzergrenadier will always be there in your mind.
I don't play Gepanzerte Panzergrenadier. I'm probably the other extreme playing FJ. The two main tweeks I'd consider is 1- drop the Heavy Platoon for something else, even more basic Gepanzerte Panzergrenadier squads. You sinking a lot of points into the heavy platoon, and I think with the list you should be moving around and picking your battles not falling into the HMG "sit and wait" trap. You wanna be moving a lot of troops to one spot, hit, then move to the next spot.
My 2nd tweek is drop the 3x wespes for plain old 10.5 cm artillery. Same gun, you get 1 more. Also, you can upgrade the tractor to a halftrack, radio truck and field car for 5 points. The total package is about 20 points cheaper.
What kills me about the Forces list is you don't have access to rockets. I'd consider researching other books' Gepanzerte Panzergrenadier lists. Forces selection seems sooo limited.

If you want to defend pick Grenadiers (with fortifications if you really want to defend). Panzergrenadiers are very much an offensive army.

The prefect example of someone missing the point.
Do not underestimate the Squats. They survived for millenia cut off from the Imperium and assailed on all sides. Their determination and resilience is an example to us all.

Its just a shame that they couldn't fight off Andy Chambers.

Better yet, the free German pioneer list from the Battlefron website: http://www.flamesofwar.com/hobby.aspx?art_id=1127
or
Fallschirmpionier: http://www.flamesofwar.com/Default.aspx?tabid=108&art_id=1792&kb_cat_id=18
These lists could be used effectively on the offense or defense. They have some excellent support options as well.
