OK, I've got this crazy idea... I want to utilize the Land Raider Crusader's 16 model capacity...

Dante + Land Raider Crusader + 3x Termy 5-man Squads (2 Shooty + 1 Assault)

I know this is a minimum of 1,075 points, but with Dante, the Land Raider can Deep Strike (be Deep Struck?) with precision.

Is this a big enough strike force to not be focus-fired to death on landing?

I'm thinking of something like 2x 5-man Dev Squads and 2x 5-man Sniper Scout Squads to hold back field objectives and provide support fire. And I think I can do all this under 1,500 points.

So I'm thinking to drop the Land Raider turn 2 (hopefully), either flanking a weak flank, or on top of an objective near enough to the enemy for the 10 Shooty Termys to be able to blast something.

What do you think?

The problem is that terminators count as 2 models in a transport, and you cant put more than one squad in a transport.

Actually... 2 crusaders, astorath, and 32 death company could be fun!

So the best I could do would be a Land Raider with an 8-man Termy Squad.

How about Astoroth in one, and Lemartes in the other? (Hammer and Anvil tactics)

It's have to be a 7-strong Termie squad, but you could add a chaplain or something?

Already done

Land Raider Deep Striking was a bit of a gimmick. They're too big TBH. I'm not sure where you are coming from with Dante so I suggest you use this as a foot list.

Jump Infantry can't embark transports, Dante's DS special rule doesn't extend to transports, you can only carry one unit in a transport unless otherwise noted and Terminators take up 2 slots.

Death Company have to buy Jump Packs, they arn't standard. Without them, stick em in a Raider all you want.

I think he was talking about astorath and dante, not the death company themselves.

Jump infantry in 6th can embark, they're just bulky.

Regular power armor reclusiarch and 15 dc. I would even keep most of them bare bones, and toss in a few pfists/pax for walkers & teq. 10 regular dc will crush 10 meq in a tidal wave of regular wounds. 50 attacks, 44 hits, 39 wounds, 13 failed armor saves...they just don't need power weapons.

Chaos isn’t a pit. Chaos is a ladder. Many who try to climb it fail, and never get to try again. The fall breaks them. And some are given a chance to climb, but refuse. They cling to the realm, or love, or the gods…illusions. Only the ladder is real. The climb is all there is, but they’ll never know this. Not until it’s too late.

Nope. Reread the rules on Jump Infantry.

Sorry, my mistake. It says in the transport rules, not in the jump infantry rules.
