Announcing: the SoCal Slaughter 6 this Labor day. We are hosting the 6th annual SoCal Slaughter at Gamex Convention in Los Angeles. This is a 2500 point Warhammer Independent Grand Tournament. Some Forge World is allowed it is 5 games over 2 days. More info and the rules can be downloaded from www.socalslaughter.com

Since we are already lugging our terrain out we wanted to also run a 40k event since everyone has changed with 6th edition so in addition to the SoCal Slaughter we are also running Slaughter in Space reloaded 4.5. This is a 1750 Warhammer 40k Independent Grand Tournament. Allied, Some Fortifications, and Forge World allowed with 5 games over 2 days. We are running Standard book missions. More info and the rules can be downloaded from www.socalslaughter.com

Admission is just a standard full con badge. With Games Workshop no longer providing support for the tournament circuit we have worked a deal were prize support will be on a sliding scale based on attendance.
Hope to see you there.

Boo, Labor Day. :(

Normally I like the 3-day weekends for events, but this year it happens to conflict with other plans. Have fun!

Yeah...like the Nova Open (but that will not be an issue with everyone else in So Cal.)

@Scott - You are not allowing the 40k approved ForgeWorld vehicles?

I misread in the packet. I read the no Structure points as no Hull points. Oops. So I guess all FW 40k approved vehicles are in. Cool.

Yes all Forgeworld army list and vehicles.

Yes I know that there is little time we were working everything out on the prize support now that GW no longer will be supporting the tournament circuit.

The convention folks very much want to support and grow the Warhammer tournaments. Which is why there will be a sliding scale for prize support. So the more people we can get to show up the better the support.

Hope to see as many Dakka people as can make it over that holiday weekend.
