Looking for some criticism on the list. I have only played it once, but It did very well against a DoomScythe/Battlewagon list.

I am debating on 4 Oblits split into two, save points, but I will lose the two Str 8 large blasts templates a turn.

You have no oblits, only defilers though you talk about your army with it. Which one are you preferring to take? I would personally take the oblits for more long range firepower and versatility, as well as the defilers being a massive heavy weapons target. Saying! Blow me up! Blow me up!

Also I believe you have to pay for two different powers, as it is not legal to run the same one. Though I could be wrong. Another heavy support option could be havocs with auto cannons, or dropping the las cannon and the heavy flames for a ccw and auto cannon. Allowing it to pop transports and destroy terminator equivalents. There's lots of options but fore two vehicles are going to die fast under the new rules.....

Gotta go Doombolt + Bolt on the princes to get two powers.

Defilers are best when taken in pairs, so that's good.

Obliterators are the best route but I find that when I have 4 Squads of Tsons (plus Ahriman) at 2000+, stuff like Invisibility and Hallucination makes up for my lack of anti tank.

Oblits have lost their edge. Now is the reign of Aspiring Sorcerers and 4 HP defilers.

@calmarac: I was looking for an opinion, since defilers were already on the list I assumed that anyone reading the post would understand that this is what I have and that my comment about oblits was something I was I was debating.

I agree that Havocs are another choice, but I disagree with autocannons solely because of their lack of 14 armor cracking, though I could give them meltas

Defilers come with 2 DCCW base, additional DCCW just add an attack. Defilers also have 4 HP ans ignore 1-3 on vehicle damage chart, making them the best bang and versatility for the points in the CSM codex(vehicle wise)

@Brometheus: I agree with the Defilers being nasty, but would you spend on the twin-linked las? It worked well in my last game, though I do see where the points could be used differently

Why all the Doombolts? Throw in Bolt of Change for at least some anti-tank.

As long as it’s not the Imperium...

You're silly if you don't take advantage of Telepathy.

Why make Aspiring Sorcerers hunt tanks with BoC if they can:

-Lock down whole units for 2 turns via Hallucination
-Get +3 to Cover Saves and be good in melee with Invisibility
-Make the enemy shoot themselves with Puppetmaster

No, anti-tank for Thousand Sons is no longer much of an issue.

8 psychic powers and you can laugh at certain armies with pure Telepathy.

All those potential options for only 10pts.

I suppose. I forget to look at lists being built with powers purely to be swapped out.

He's got everything okay. Very nasty Against MEQ type armys. You have all the nessesary powers to switch Into Tele. You are mobile and have some decent fire support. Deffys can hide a hell of lot easier now since its only 25% cover. put that Non-Rhino TS Squad in front of them and they have cover. Then its pie plates galore. AA is an issue with our Dex. but one that we just have to deal with for a bit longer.
