The other day one of my opponents vehicles moved into a pool of mysterious water that turned out to be hyper slime, we were wondering what happens as hyper slime says you must pass a leadership test to move out or shoot and a vehicle does not have a leadership value to test with. We agreed just to count it as LD 10 for the duration of the battle but we couldn't find anything to say what happens.

Default for things that affect stats that vehicles don't have is that they don't work on vehicles at all. I'd say that's probably how it should be played, but LD10 is a good compromise if you can't agree with your opponent or want to just houserule it

We couldn't find anything saying that it doesn't effect vehicles just because they don't have the stat that they need to pass a test in. We decided on LD 10 because we didn't think it was right for a vehicle to move in and be permanently useless because with ought a stat they can't pass the test.

It is very possible we missed something in the rulebook that would make the vehicle immune we just couldn't find anything after a few minutes of looking and came to the LD 10 compromise.

Best precedent you have is on p76 under "Vehicles, Leadership, and Morale." Although Morale tests are a subset of leadership tests, you have a stronger argument that they ignore leadership tests all together (unless specified otherwise explicitly) than you do in saying all vehicles have leadership 10 imho.
