In the grey knight codex under the inquisitorial henchmen warband you can take a whole unit of 12 psykers. does this unit count as 12 individual psykers or just one?

-I know you count them as one for taking ld and shooting one psychic blast thing but do they still count as an individual psycher as well?

-the reason I ask is because my friend was using two units of 12 of them each in a chimera, and he also had a culexus assassin. the gun on the assassin says that you add an extra shot for each psykers within 12 inches.

- there is also a rule in the codex called brotherhood of psykers which states that any unit with this rule count as one psyker. the Psyker henchmen dont have this rule.

so the main question is would the assassin get 2 extra shots or 24 extra shots?

As I said I don't play with them- I was looking just thru my friends codex at my shop because I ran out and I had to sell the store's copy. That's what I got from it. I wasn't sure if the I was right or not so I asked. Don't worry about it- and sorry for asking...

The Psyker doesn't have the psychic rule, I don't think.. but does he take a psychic check? If so, psyker.

A similar argument is in Fantasy-

Are Nehekharan Undead actually "Undead"?

Psykers have the rule that says (emphasis mine):

"All psykers in the same unit are treated as a single psyker for the purposes of Psychic tests, etc...If the squad suffers the Perils of the Warp, all psykers in the squad suffer the effects."

The 'etc' in there is huge, because without any limitations it says that all psykers in the unit count as a single psyker for everything in the game (except for Perils of the Warp, where it specifies that every model in the unit is attacked).

So yeah, Henchmen psykers only count as a single psyker for a Culexus Assassin.

^So very insightful. I'm sure he never thought of that. You must be the rules guru in your area...

Anyways. No, he doesn't get +24 shots just +2. I will warn you though, as i don't know your friend or his mentality, that some people refuse to accept that 'etc' includes county psykers for the purposes of.
