Hello Everyone! I am a major 40K Noob having just started playing in late June and making a Dakka Account not 2 minutes ago but anyways I have a tournament this Saturday and I was hoping you could help give an opinion on my Necron List.

10 Warriors in Ghost Ark-245 PTS
8 Warriors-104 PTS (In Reserve as the Monolith will spit them out)

Fast Attack
5 Scarab Swarms-75 PTS
5 Scarab Swarms-75 PTS
3 Wraiths with Whips-135 PTS

Heavy Support
Doom Scythe-175 PTS (Once it comes out it will Come into enemy Deployment Zone)

Hi, welcome.

I don't play Necrons myself, but I do get stomped by them a lot. Here's what my opponents do to destroy me:

1. Take Doom Scythes in Pairs, if at all. Same with D. Arks.

2. Immortals with a (cheap) Overord and no Lychguard, on foot.

3. 3+ Units of Warriors all with Ghost Arks.


That said, your list looks very good but it appears that since you only have one Flier, it will be harassment and nothing more.

The Overlord and his cronies are not needed. Just put him with Immortals or something, they are a fine escort.

The 5 Scarab Swarms (x2) is a good edition. It's always cool when people actually use the minis instead of empty bases (the last one is more common in my area).

I'd say it's a solid force and you should do okay with it at your upcoming tournament. Post up in the battlereport section how you do, because I am interested to see this list's performance.
