Subject: New Army...Eldar or Orks?

So I am thinking of adding some new stuff,
Deciding between Orks an Eldar.
First of all, I like both of them maybe Ork a bit more.
The thing is I already have a Dark Eldar army and it seems more reasonable to get Eldar so I can try allied forces out,
So which force do you think I should buy instead?

Well, I'd consider an Eldar detachment for your DE force.

How does Eldar play though? From what I have read they aren't too different from Dark Eldar...

Depends imo. Do you want an Eldar alliance force? Ie, something that's similarly fragile to what you already have, or something that's entirely different in game play and aesthetics?
If you do take Eldar as an allied force though, one benefit is that a typically small force will be even smaller, meaning a low investment and theoretically the project may not take much time to complete, so you can then move on to Orcs after.
The Orcs have some absolutely amazing models though, especially through Forgeworld, whereas the Eldar models (whilst still, really quite nice) don't quite have the same level of awesome models imo

Yeah, that's what I though as well,
I am actually just wanting a small Eldar Force sort of but it seems kinda a waste if Allies are not allowed anymore next edition...
That would be a while from now though...
All that I really want right now as of this moment for my DE is a farseer and some Rangers so I can benefit from the eldar psychic powers. I will add in Harlies from the Eldar book as well then they can benefit from guide and fortune...
Don't know if people would allow me to convert DE models into Eldar Units though...I already did with a Farseer/Eldrad and you could totally see the resemblance...I'll upload it to the modelling to see if people would accept it or not...
I might use 5 DE Warriors with Dark Lances to resemble the Rangers obviously with a tad bit conversion and stuff...
Yeah, Ork army just seems fun in general...like the SAG is super duper fun...
and it is totally different in terms of gameplay too which is kinda good because assault seems unfavorable for DE...

Well about the allied eldar detachment, I've been considering one for my DE also. I was thinking about one or two five man ranger squads. Infiltrating them into a good spot and possibly pulling off a few precision shots at important targets in the first turn.

the Farseer is just too good to pass by and the rangers are sorta something that the Dark Eldar don't have as well...
