Hey guys,

I went to warhammer world yesterday and purchased the beautiful model.

Only now im kinda having second thoughts. I've only just started a daemons/ Cmarines army, and in kinda wanted a centerpiece, and tzeentch is my favourite, but it's £140?? And that frickken huge And expensive in points i don't know wether I can justify it?

Pros:

The model is just awesome

Rule wise I think its pretty sweet

The size of the damn thing!

Cons:

Cost of the model, points AND money

Can I get people's opinions on this matter? I'm tearing my hair out here!!

Can also always just use it as the normal one in the codex if the point cost bothers you. Looks better than the normal one anyway.

My friend painted one of those and it is by far one of the best "center piece" models available to the Tzeetchian hordes.

He plays alot of apocalypse games and uses all 4 of the FW greater daemons and the ones from that other company that also look awesome.

999 points is a bit crazy but so aren't games that you would be feilding him.

I think you made a really good investment as far as collecting goes.

Even if you don't play with him that often it's still an awesome project to work on!

Keep it.

Even if you never use it.

It'll look brilliant on the shelf, building and painting it will be an excellent experience, it'll give you lots of motivation to play larger games and apocalypse games, and at the end of the day it's only money. If you get rid of it, you'll regret it.

"Did you ever notice how in the Bible, when ever God needed to punish someone, or make an example, or whenever God needed a killing, he sent an angel? Did you ever wonder what a creature like that must be like? A whole existence spent praising your God, but always with one wing dipped in blood. Would you ever really want to see an angel?"

I have the Forge World Keeper of Secrets Zarakynel. She is already considerably taller than anything produced by Games Workshop. With true line of sight she gets shot at more than a normal Keeper of Secrets would and I seldom get the chance to run her Imperial Armor rules as the character proper. As one of the newer rule updates moved all the Forgeworld Greater Daemons from special characters in Codex: Chaos Daemon to Apocalypse FOC slots.

I am not sure of Aetaos’rau’keres base size but compared to the Sister of Battle in one of the product shots he seems to be even taller than Zarakynel but he is also a flying monstrous creature so that is less of a consideration I suppose.

Probably better off with a Fateweaver centerpiece at any rate.

Yes. The sun is often in his eyes.

Regarding the topic; keep him! I think it's my favourite FW GD model. Looks wonderful!
