Been sitting around brainstorming lists- here's an idea I came up with that consists mostly of 2 battleforces + a couple hqs, and has a nasty trick up its sleeve.

Nemesor Zahndrekh (185)
Dedicated Transport-Command Barge (80)
Vargard Obyron (160)
Lord /w warscythe, scarabs, res. orb (90)
Cryptek Despair with everything (70)

Troops
Warriors x 10 (130)
Dedicated Transport - ghost ark (115)
Warriors x 10 (130)
Dedicated Transport - ghost ark (115)
Warriors x 20 (260) (Joined by lord+ Obyron)
Immortals x10 (170) (joined by cryptek)

Total:(1505)
The strategy here is simple. Load all warriors except for obyron's squad in the ghost arks, zahndrekh in his pimp-chair barge, and move him flat out across the board. Use obyron's mantle to deep strike next to zahndrekh. Boom, you just brought 20 warriors into rapid fire range. Point at something and remove it. From there, you can deep strike the immortals in a similar fashion if you chose using the veil, though it won't be as accurate, and just get those arks moving closer to do drive-bys with the 2 broadsides + 10 warriors in an open topped transport. Any time the warrior blob gets in combat? move zahndrek, re-deepstrike the blob. Rinse, repeat, and keep em close to the arks just to keep replacing your losses.
Best of all? its a 1500 pt army you can easily make with 2 battleforces, 2 regular priced hqs, 1 cryptek, 1 lord, and a barge (or even use the overlord from the barge as a lord, and just add/remove zahndrekh as he gets in and out.)

Also, I wouldn't call a 20 man squad of warriors a "murder brigade". Most of them will die and Obyron and the lord will have to be up front to do some damage. You should put Warscythe Overlords in the Barges. They are much scarier. Also, Zahndrekh is much more of a support HQ, due to his low WS and Res Orb. Stick him in with a squad of tesla Immortals and have him take a few punishing hits because his 2+, 3++, and a Res Orb really last to his longevity. while drowning them in tesla. Other than that, it looks very solid. Ghost Arks full of warriors are pretty much instawreckedface of any vehicle in the game.

As much as I like the idea of Nemesor having his buddy teleport to him help, the Barge is a waste. Would a Veiltek do the job cheaper? Veil around with another inc Nemesor and then Obyron follows?

My whole thought with sticking zahndrekh in the barge was for him just to cruise around attracting obyron, and throwing him in the barge made it so the plan couldn't be disrupted by him getting stuck in assault, and obyron being forced to teleport to him. As an added bonus, while the staff of light does suck as a CC weapon, it is still a decent shooting attack that you can still use from an open topped-transport later in the game (first turn moves flat out, sooo that's not happening) Though, I do like the idea of teleport immortals with zahndrekh and the cryptek attached, then teleport obyron, but I was trying to minimize the risk of deepstrike going horribly wrong.

I would spend 20 more points for a night scythe and put Zahndrehk and a squad of immortals in that. Disembark them 24" to shoot normally or go 36" and hope for those 6's on the teslas.

Chariots can be assaulted, just as the chariot rider can assault. He can still drive off though.
