I usually play orks but after playing some games with IG allies I was curious to see what the reverse of the team-up could look like. Im not an experienced IG player, but this list seems to have a ton of threats, and a ton of answers to enemies threats. The biggest problem is scoring units, it has four but I assume the small veteran squads wont last long after the Chimera wrecking or exploding. CC, thanks.

I know not much about orks, so I'll comment on the IG instead.
LR Exterminator with Sponsons isn't a good deal. If you meant Executioner (the one Heavy 3, Blast Plasma cannon) without plasma sponsons, sure. Those sponsons will kill you more surely than their own models can.
Lascannons may be boss, but if you're sticking your vets in a Chimera I'd suggest getting a AC instead. Most of the time you'll be moving them, so snapshotting 2 is better than snapshotting 1.
Hyrdra's ain't what they used to be, a Exterminator Bolter Boat or Punisher Bolter Boat would be better.

I'd change the IG to be something like this:

That leaves you with 5 points to place elsewhere. It loses your sponsons, hydras and lascannons, but you get more *against everything else* ability, cept AV14 all round, which only the LRBT and vendetta's can crack.

If you were to lose the Nob Bikers you could get some 2 lots of 2* Melta Storm troopers, leaving a total of 110 points to spend elsewhere (fully kitting out the Vets, CCS and LRBT maybe).

i would also drop 2 of the chimeras and have 2 of the vet squads in the vendettas... you can either use them as you would use a chimera, cept with 3 lascannons or you could Grav chute insert those vets which is so crazy not many people will consider that you will do it, also frees up 110 points for a lascannon HWS if you really wanted one

No HWS with Veterans. Grav chuting 2 of his 4 scoring units, especially ones as squishy as Un Chim'd vets and shoota boys, isn't a good way to go at 2k points.

Why are the hydras not a good idea? Other than the weak AV, they seem amazing at killing enemy flyers and transports. I havent played with any of the units other than the battletanks and vendettas so I am not arguing, just curious.

Do you think there are too few scoring units in this list to survive a 2k point match?

Vendettas are awesome at shooting down tanks, transporting infantry and fly swatting other aeroplanes, whereas the hydra is a bit stationary and limited by comparison.
If only they had interceptor then they would rock my world.
Also the obvious thing to say is one unit can easily be targetted whilst only taking out a single flyer at time, apart from vendettas but why would the mighty imperial guard fight their own?

Vet squads can take 3 special weapons, how cool is that. Pretty cool given they have tonnes of spaces to shoot from on the chimera. I would take the controversial decision to use a command squad as plasma squad, this means taking plasma but also a medic and carapace armour.

But then again why not bring a platoon and put some cheap scoring units in aeroplanes. Aeroplanes are dirt cheap and awesome.

Not sure foot slogging boyz are needed. Nob bikers are pretty awesome who doesn't want to use them.

There are other ways but you seem to have a reasonable idea going on.
