I had some issues at home this morning with the browser freezing up for a few seconds (anything from a second or two to around 30 seconds on one occasion) when trying to open threads into new tabs (in Chrome, windows XP). I had put it down to my dodgy (and increasingly more so every day) home PC, but it's doing the same thing at work on Windows 7 and Explorer. Not every time, just every now and then.

Anyone else seeing anything similar?

Still happening? Might have been related to the amazon ads (which have since been removed)
