Give Ulric the Slayer's Wolf Helm of Russ a read, page 50.
I'm thinking about how a Challenge would play out and just wanna make sure I got it right.
SW player has Ulric issue a Challenge in an assault.
Enemy IC accepts.
When the enemy swings at his Init Step, hits, and then tries to allocate those wounds, he must pass the test the WHoR causes.
Passes - all goes normally, the Challenge mechanics keep the two dancing together.
Fails - Well, here it gets slightly goofy in the entry's wording, given how 6e has really 'ordered' h2h.
My Call is that : They Remain in Challenge, even though the IC just soiled his shorts, but I 'm guessing those wounds just flush away, that is, he never attacked according to the page 50 entry, eh?
'Bout right? I'm just looking to make sure there isn't an argument where an opponent will claim that the IC gets out of the Challenge somehow.
All that aside, I'd simply play it as:
SW player has Ulric issue a Challenge in an assault.
Enemy IC accepts.
When the enemy attempts to swing, the Ldr test occurs.
Pass = fight is normal
Fail = Ulric goes into Seal Clubbing mode
Thoughts?

I agree. I don't think there is much of an argument for the IC getting out of that challenge.

Agreed. The Wolf Helm rule doesn't make any mention of a challenge, let alone getting out of one. So you're not given any permission to exit it, which would break the rules in the BRB.

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.

"'players must agree how they are going to select their armies, and if any restrictions apply to the number and type of models they can use."
This is an actual rule in the actual rulebook. Quit whining about how you can imagine someone's army touching you in a bad place and play by the actual rules.
