Hey all!

Sorry I've got so many questions, feel like I'm littering up the forums

Anyhow, this one is about the Dark Eldar. From my understanding, after the Fall Slaanesh began draining the souls of all living Eldar, being especially attuned to Eldar using Psychic powers. To counteract this, the Craftworld Eldar turned to new lifestyle that simultaneously took them away from their old ways that created Slaanesh in the first place and also gave them a Disciplined "path" to trod which allowed their souls to stop being drained by Slaanesh. This is why Exodites are in such danger because they lose the path and also are outside their protective bubble of disciplined psychic power usage. Still, if they die their souls are consumed by this new God instead of going to their other deities like Isha. Thus, they created Spirit Stones to trap their souls, hoping to eventually create a new God that will vanquish Slaanesh.

On the other hand, Dark Eldar kept their hedonistic ways and let their souls drain, if slowly. To counteract this, they began feeding on the souls of other beings, the pain and other rush of emotions their victims feel, essentially their souls, reinvigorating the Dark Eldars sickly souls that have been fed on by Slaanesh. I believe the idea is that they can keep their old "Immortality" like they had before the fall so long as they keep eating the souls of other beings.

My question is this; if a Dark Eldar chose, or happened to, say, be orphaned and raised by CWE, would he be able to discipline himself in the CWE Path and keep his soul from being eaten by Slaanesh? Conversely, if it's just the discipline of the path that keeps them from being consumed, why would not Incubi, who live just as ascetic(if not more!) lives than their CWE brethren still be consumed by Slaanesh? Finally, if a DE chose to use a spirit stone, which I assume they can as it's just a psychic device, could they join the infinity matrix like any other CWE?

Thanks!

^This.
There is at least one aspect warrior mentioned who WAS a former DE member.

The path and the waystone are now his protection.

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.

There is at least one case of a DE becoming a CWE. A former Incubus becomes an Aspect Warrior in one BL novel.

Oh, and isn't there a BL novel where a Dark Eldar became an Aspect Warrior?

IIRC, Exodites have Soul Stones. Their worlds have whatever the Wraithbone complex is that the Eldar Souls enter when they die. The planet is essentially their craftworld.
