So how long does it take for a moved thread to stop showing up in the original forum?

That was created almost a week ago and it still shows up in general discussion even though it was moved rather quickly.

I'm not complaining so much as wanting to know if there is some internal timer on that or if we can do away with it completely since we have several other ways of tracking threads.

There is a flag which needs to be set to remove it (instant move), otherwise it ends up in both forums. Chances are the person who moved it either wanted two copies or accidentally de-selected the 'move' flag and used 'copy' instead.
