9 x Sternguard with sarg with 9 Combi plasma and PS on sarg and drop pod
2x dreadnoughts with 2xTL auto cannons

2x tac squad 5 man in razor back with TL HB's
1xtac squad 5 man in razor back with TL assault canno

3xStorm talon with tl assault cannon and tl las cannons

3xpreds with autocannon and hb sponsers

Sternguard will drop pod in to take out any big nasties or the warlord, tac squads are there to get to objectives preds and razor backs and dreads to create a mobile fire line and pour fire into anything storm talons to take care of flyers and/or armour

Looks decent enough, with med-high STR guns (AC, HB & AutoCans).

I would take 8 combimeltas and 2 heavy flamers on the sternguard. Use sternguard ammo for most enemies rather combiplasma. Then taking out mech is the most likely role of their drop pod.

I would rather have 2 full tactical squads with 2 upgraded razorbacks. This gives 4 scoring units. Put the missile/lascannon guys at the back some where and run forward with plasma/meltagun guys in razorbacks.

I would give the preds lascannon sponsons, as they are better.

I think I would prefer the other storm talon armaments rather than the lascannon. I like the idea of three, though they are weak and once you can better deal with flyers I think you will go off them.

Then why a captain? Bring a librarian.

So in all a very reasonable list. Someone should suggest the list is more of a blood angel list in disguise.

I think you'll have trouble with so few scoring and mobile contesting units. Depending on what kinds on missions the tournaments you plan on attending will use, you may find opponents targetting your 15 scoring marines and shutting you out of seizing objectives.

You'll need to cut out some of your sexy killy toys to afford more scoring units. Another option may be allies, if you're into that. Swap vendettas for stormtalons, put some cheap troops aboard, and you increase firepower, survivability and get more mobile scoring units.
