The Veteran squad with the flamers would be starting in one Vendetta and the HQ squad would be in the other Vendetta (question, does the HQ have to start on the field?). Then the Chimera's and Demolishers would move up the field using each other for cover and also scenery and try to secure objectives with my two Vendetta's dropping in troops in the last few turns to contest/control objectives. I feel I have a nice balanced mechanized list as I have 55 troops and enough firepower to take out enemy armour and heavy troops.

Any opinion would be great! Let me know what I can improve as it is still a work in progress!

I'm wanting to say drop the hydra and pimp out the CCS and Flamer Vets a bit, shooting the ACs, ML and HBs at any air that looks like it'll actually be a problem.
Also a note on melta vets, they don't work as well as they did.

Maybe drop the CCS, Flamer vets, melta vets and Hydra for:
CCS, 2* Plasma, PP, AC, Chimera (ML/HB) 155,
Veterans, 3* Plasma, AC, Chimera (ML/HB), 180
Veterans, 3* Plasma, AC, Chimera (ML/HB), 180

Essentially you lose the Meltas, flamers and Hydras, but you get 9 plasma, 3 AC, 3 ML and 3 HB for them.

(Edited to add the Chimera's to the Vets, added the points but not the description).

Thing is I've been having a lot of problems with land raiders and AV14, the plasma's just can't touch it.... If the enemy bring a land raider on I'm screwed! so that's what the melta's are for?

Isn't that why you have 2 demolishers and 2 Vendetta's? They are S10 large blast & 8LC, 6 of which are TL.
You could also swap them for a LRBT w/LC + Pask and a normal LRBT. You'll get longer range S8 Hits, with the one with pask having +1 to armour pen rolls.

I agree. Leave the vehicles for the Vendetta and Demolishers, as the Veterans act as an anti-Marine force.

Vendettas will deal with flyers well enough, bring three and leave the Hydra at home.

Demolisher would not be my choice but all the heavies have their charm.

I think I would take a psyker as HQ, I think it will be slightly better for you.
