Where does one remove casualties from when suffering wounds from flyover close combat attacks? Closest model to where the attackers ended their movement, randomly, owner's choice, something else?

Do any of the flyover attacks allow cover saves? Could one go to ground vs these wounds? Could a paladin with a staff take 2++ invul vs these wounds?

A vector strike is directionless and the enemy gets to remove models (roll saves) as he wishes, it also isn't classed as a CC attack so cover saves would work.
A sweep attacks is in fact a CC attack but is still rather directionless so unless a precision hit is rolled the owner would get to choose, due to it being a CC attack no cover saves can be used.
You can always use your invulnerable save, an you must always use your best available save too.

So can you go to ground vs the ones not specifically cc attacks?

Also, can someone else confirm these interpretations above please. Thank you for your response, but I'd just rather have more than one person with the same ideas to ease my mind.

You get cover unless told otherwise - every FAQ ever has confirmed this. Ref Mawlocs, DoM spirit leech

Chariot Sweep attacks are random allocation, from memory, so it would be sensible to apply that to Vector Strikes
