Procrastinating.

So, my gaming store is having a clearout, and I managed to pick up a Dark Angels codex and the Ravenwing battleforce dirt cheap. I came up with this list for 500 points:
Sammael w/ Landspeeder
3*Bikes
3*Bikes w/ Flamer
Attack bike w/ Multimelta

First things first, should I instead get melta bombs on one of the sergeants and a heavy bolter on the attack bike?(I generally go against semi mechanized Marines and Guard, with a possibility of Tyranids or Tau)

Second, can someone post some tactics for Ravenwing or a link to some?

"My strength is as the strength of ten because my heart is pure"
"Really, well, there's twelve of them"

Multimelta will normally be better.
Apothecary is really good value.
The banner can be worth it, maybe even give them int. chaplain on a bike.
I would give meltabombs if you are giving a squad flamers. I would give plasmas to the apothecary squad then the other biker squads probably meltas.
I would also bring 3 typhoons, as they are dirt cheap.
Allies could be interesting, get some tasty HQs on bikes like librarians.

How many hull points are you giving Sammael?

Biker armies are tricky to play, I least I find it tricky. Then Ravenwing have very high point units.

In general look up biker army tactica. Also you'll need a 6th edition tactica as things have very much changed. In general you'll want to hit and run also try to refuse flank.

Your list looks good - though personally I would swap out that flamer for either a plasmagun or meltagun. You've got enough anti-infantry from the bikes' own bolters for almost anything you'll face at 500 points.

Tactics-wise, I can see you've steered away (hah! pun not intended but I'm leaving it in there) from any close combat options, obviously save from Sammael himself, so use that extra speed to keep them out of combat. Don't get too worried about staying too far away for rapid fire, but do feel free to charge the last remnants of a unit to get rid of it if it's far enough away from everything else.

Deploy second if you get the chance - you want to keep your units bunched together so you can concentrate them on a small part of the enemy at a time, rather than all at once. That means your opponent will deploy in exactly the same way if he sees you doing it, but if he deploys first there's a chance he'll spread out to your advantage.

...oh, and try not to rub it in too much when your store realises in a couple months' time they should've held onto those Dark Angels bits. Nice find, my friend.
