I just went to the GW website, and it seems that I can no longer order Yriel, Shrieker Jetbikes, or Shining Spears. Is this just happening for me, or is this a hint at more finecast blisters and conversion sets?

It could well be. GW have done this type of thing before, and there have been numerous rumours of new Eldar releases (woo).

Here's hoping that there's a Jetbike box set that's relatively cheap....

Wait a second, it'll probably be a Jetbike/Spears joint set. Hopefully. Though there have been rumours of a Spears/New Unit box set later on in the year. So maybe not.

I'll shut up now...

It is not just you, and it more likely a complete overhaul of the kits, seeing as the Eldar Jetbikes are as old as the gods themselves. And Yriel is probably going Finecast.

Dayum. Didn't check for us.

Maybe it's not a release... It better be though.

I just checked the US, UK, and the Canadian site, and the pages for the minis still say available in 24 hours, but there is no button to add them to your cart.

GW oftentimes keeps the pages for old and obsolete models while removing the "order" button:

Either way, it may just be a glitch considering they're available within 24hr.

Shriekers and Shining Spears are just the regular jetbikes with metal bits. I would expect said bits to become Finecast along with Yriel until a new kit comes out.

i'd actually stuck Yriel into my basket (not intending to buy)when I answered so the button was there,

but the button is now gone.....

Eldar rangers are also not available and they've already made the switch to finecast so that's not the reason.

I think you are mistaken, the Rangers look like they are available on the US, UK, and Canadian Sites.

It's changed since I posted it (just went back and checked). The button stating that they could be added to the cart was gone and the availablity said "not available", neither of which is true now.

I just made an order with the US webstore two days ago. I have had a set of Gift certificates and was pondering getting some Wraithguard and the old-school Rangers with them when I noticed that both the rangers and Wraithguard #3 are listed as "will dispatch in 5 to 6 weeks". I have to say I got worried.

I always took that to mean that they are being phased out (I thought I heard this once, and that people found that the "backordered- five to six weeks" will never come) to make a switch to Finecast, which had me bummed, as I will never , never buy a model in Finecast. I will go to online sources to get the old ones in metal.

Luckily, I was able to get a squad of Wraithguard by getting x2 of the other 2 poses (though that is less than ideal becaue I want as much variety as possible). I bought a plastic Jetbike just fine, as well.

I'd imagine that the Rangers and wraithguard are being re-released (and price-hiked) as Finecast, and the metal parts of the Shrieker and Shining Spear bikes will be given nice fragile finecast spears.

Thank god I don't need them.

Addendum----

The single Ranger figure and the "Farseer with staff" are "five to six weeks" now as well. I forgot about the Farseer, I was going to get him with my order as I always liked the figure. Looks like it's Ebay for a metal one.

I've had had quite often that when an item was '2-3 weeks or 5-6 weeks' that when I'd actually order it, it would jump to 'ship within 24 hours'.

Later it would often be finecasted though, but in the case of Wraithguard #3, it's been like that for ages.
