Yeah, I was thinking we could send our 6th ed disgruntled friend in the other thread an alternative. Wrap that whole thing up in that and say good riddance y'know? And I'd be interested too.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
Yeah. I disapprove of fan made anything really. Not like I don't come up with my own or HATE others. It's just a 'that's not our work we're messing with' thing. A respect to the creator thing. There's also good reason the codecies don't have everything we want y'know?

Please forgive me bro! Dont taze! His whole thread got locked by a moderator it looks like, or he did, so it's over man. Crack out the champagne! We survived bro! I know, I didn't help that thread either. So sorry. But if you'll consider the bottom line. He did not like sixth, maybe even irrationally so. Irregardless of 'why' he didn't like it, he didn't like it. So I say 'disgruntled' on the whole. If my usage is incorrect I apologize. But that is over! I am still honestly curious if anyone has come up with even an amalgamation of other tried and true rules portions to play with to fit their wants and needs.

We could move over to the proposed rules section and start one alternatively.

Well, um, jeezy petes. Holy internet rumors Batman! Thats a goose chase! I dont think I can find the one with M-A-S system in that haystack. Found one interesting rule leak. A bit excesive and largely incorrect but its old news so whatever right? Some neat stuff. Poorly presented in a bulleted list, but idea giving. Find it here! I realy liked the 'Evasion(EV)' stat add in. It's kind of from 'Flames of War' I think. A former military guy I gamed with once explained why 'realistically' it was so important to have a stat represent a soldiers ability to not present himself as a target in the first place. When you consider that with machine guns and their fairly good accuracy these days, they make any soldier able to hit you with a short spray anyway. Point and shoot. It's really not a test of their accuracy anymore, but how good you are at staying low and not giving away your position.

I think a BS versus EV chart roll would do something for the game. You already oppose weapon skill rolls, right? But that change is likely too drastic to implement in the games well established state. maybe Ballistic Skill could be all encompassing here, representing a models accuracy and understanding and awareness of how to avoid fire? Roll opposed BS? I'll start a new thread for this! Come check in when its up!

Also I'm not saying m-a-s won't work nor will I ever. The 'normal' way is just cool for me. I guess you could say cinematic and tactic wise. Advance from cover position to firing position, engage firefight, choose to press attack at close quarters and sanitize area of hostiles, then consolidate the position and prepare for counterattack or further orders. That 'pattern' does show up alot I think. Or maybe thats just the movies.

Also known as:
"Let's move out! Eyes open! Scan your quarters for the enemy!" *tromp tromp tromp* *Get behind that wall! Heads down! Jenkins! MG on the second floor! HE mortar round! Percy! Covering fire! Everyone else hit the jerks on the ground floor! Cut a path gents! FIRE!" *dakkadakkadakka* "Good! That's most of 'em! Jane! Take point! Breach and sweep that building! Second squad fall in! Follow Jane! I need my machine gunners! Suppressing fire! GO GO GO!" *tromp tromp tromp*blasts, sporadic fire, screaming* "Building secure, Sir!" "Good! Mortars, Fire smoke on the enemy side of the building to cover our set up! Machine Gunners, set up in the stairway windows! Everyone else against the north wall! Find a window with a view and stay low! There's more to come! Anyone not make it?!"

(that squad rolled alot of 's on theire turn)
