So I am working on some necrons, no pics yet, and I want to kind of come up with a bit of fluff for the army (uses generic commanders, wonderful blank slate)

I wanted to kind of paint them with a dull, darker red (like dried blood) and gold on the detail bits and armor, while keeping the traditional silver bodies/limbs and glowy green bits that the 'crons are so well known for.

All I got fluff-wise is I want to do something with the fact that (doomsday ark aside) that my army has two of EVERYTHING.

Was thinking perhaps my Overlord was schizophrenic before the biotransference, and his personality got split up between 2 overlord bodies, that are convinced that the other half does not exist, yet will think thoughts at the same time and say the exact same lines in perfect sync with eachother. During the great sleep, the tomb's master control program, after observing the lords in stasis, did the same to their loyal "court" Both of the overlords are obsessed with having twos of everything, and one of their greatest annoyances is the one and only one doomsday cannon they own.

Names-wise, the overlords I am thinking of naming Primos and Ultimo, with the original overlord being named Primos the Ultimate. Dynasty-wise, I am thinking Dvojihkah, (typed in "two" into a translator, hit slovak, bastardized the result to look a bit more necron-y) Not sure that I am going to go as far as to name the court.

Opinions?

I think the idea is really good. Been a while now so I think you have probably made up your mind, but would love to see/hear how it's coming along.
Scab red/gold sounds good, with silver and green still kept, really similar to what I'm doing but haven't used much gold at this stage and using more blood red
I should get on to making up my fluff and naming now

In the star trek episode 'the enemy within' a transporter malfunction splits captain Kirk into 2 halves, an aggressive selfish Kirk, and a docile cowardly Kirk.
So perhaps the biotransferance of your necrons did the same thing? everyone put into the machine was split, so half your army is 'evil' and half your army is 'good'
