Okay so I played a GK guy with a Eldar Farseer with Runes of Warding. He did this solely to shut down Psychic powers (lucky for me my Guardsmen can't stand the filthy mutants.) During the course of the game I looked both at Runes of Warding in the Eldar Codex and the Allies of Convenience rules.Units in your army treat Allies ofConvenience asenemy
units that cannot be charged, shot, targeted with psychic
powers or have templates or blast markers placed over them.
Relevent Rules: BYB pg. 112 wrote: Units in your army treat Allies of Convenience as enemy units that cannot be charged, shot, targeted with psychic powers or have templates or blast markers placed over them.
Eldar Codex pg 26 wrote: All enemy psychic tests must be taken on 3d6, suffering a Perils of the Warp attack on any roll of 12 or higher.
Using this I have concluded that Allies of Convenience, if using Eldar Psy Defense, shuts down your own psykers as well.
What do you think?

Do Runes of Warding count as any of the highlighted? If yes, then Runes of Warding do not affect your Allies of Convenience. If not, then they do affect your Allies of Convenience.

Yeah, Azazel the Runes of Warding are just a passive effect, so as you pointed out they will work.
Now can anyone make a convincing argument that AoC are not effected by Runes of Warding? If not we can close this since it isnt a rules discussion.

Azazel was saying that it does effwct them because it's not one of the listed things that you can't do to AoC.
Nothing to debate here, move along. Lol

I knew this, if that wasn't clear in my post I apologize. The second sentence was for anyone to debate it, but from what I see it looks pretty clear.
