This is a list for an upcoming tournament, and I'd like to run past the Dakkanauts. Let me know what you think and what I should change. Bear a few things in mind:

1. Can use 2 FoCs
2. Not "super" up to speed on the 6th rules, but think I've got a good grip
3. Want to use a daemons detachment for the cool

Any tips on that last 16 points? Should I bother with the LR at all or have Abaddon deepstrike or footslog it? Thanks for the tips guys.

Since Abby confers Fearless on any unit he joins, there's no reason not to just deploy him (and LoS will keep him alive). I'd go with your old Abby+ Plague Marines.

Remember that LR smoke is only 5+ cover, and no one can disembark if it moves over 6". If you do take the terminators, I think CSM are the best to run as an in-LR-Abby-escort because they cause max damage on the charge.

Melta doesn't matter. Double Plasma is the 6th Ed way, and if you can take it.. You should do it. To take full advantage of the new rapid fire rules.

Try to take a Prince from the Allied detachment. Powers that can't be stopped, and Flying like the Bloodthirster.

As is (and before changes), the list is great.

Three flamers is only 69 points now, so you could even add a couple more. Flamers are pretty mean now on overwatch and decently hard to kill with their 2 wounds.

Oh yeah, I forgot about the change to Flamers.

You can use my Daemons WD update if you end up going to the tournament, I have it in my bag

no, the flamers are 69 per model, NOT for the unit. At least thats what i remember. Could be wrong, dont have it to hand

69 points for a 3-man base squad, 23 pts/model additional (up to a max squad size of 9)
No more bolt on flamers, but they can get a character for +5 pts.
Maybe pick up the WD codex update and read it before being rude to people who do have it.


To the OP: what is "collar" on the thirster? That is not listed in the codex, is this for either an icon or Blessing of the Blood God?.
