Hey Dakka,

I recently played a game with this list and was called OP. So my question to the community is this: Is this list to competative for friendly games?

HQ:
Libby w/ JP and Force Stave. Divination Powers

Honor Guard w/ 4x Plasmaguns and JP's

Elite:
Sang Priest w/ JP

Troop:
ASM x10 w/ 2x Meltaguns and PW

ASM x10 w/ 2x Meltaguns and PW

ASM x5 w/ Flamer and PW

Scout Squad x5 w/ 5x Sniper Rifles

Heavy Support:
Stormraven w/ AC and MM

Stormraven w/ AC and MM

Devastator Squad w/ 4x ML

Fortifications:
Fortress of Redemption w/ Krakstromr Missiles

1850 on the dot. Devs and Snipers were in the fortress. Dev Sgt used his Signum to intercept with the Icarus LC. Libby and 5 man ASM jumped up to use Krakstorm missiles.

Thoughts?

Well, the Fortress of Redemption is a point sink. How about a Bastion or an ADL.
Your two shooty units could also hide behind an ADL freeing some points for beefing up the small ASM unit to a full one.

Agree. You're not enough of a static/shooty army tp warrant the points - if you need something then bastion or aegis defence line.

If you want a full on fortress list with power armour then SW long fangs or vanilla marines with TFCs etc do it a little better.

The fortress is a completely different from the bastion and the ADL.
It is about taking as much room as possible and being hard to shift. av14 is hard to shift and the guns are pretty nifty as well.

The lascannon will have to be aimed at the same target as the missiles. As such I would invest in 5 extra marines for the dev. squad then combat squad.

Else instead of the scout squad bring a tactical squad.
Combat squad, 5 men can be given heavy bolters on the fortress and can hide in one part, whilst the other 5 can hide inside another or the same and use the lascannon, probably putting the serg. on duty for the odd chance of a precision shot.

This is very hardy and shooty whilst the rest of your army DOA and does it stuff with objectives.
