So, I had a question come up the other day about models taking lookout sir against perils. The situation arose from mindstrikes missiles from a gk stormraven hitting a warlock jetbike council. One player in our group argued that you could definitely LOS the perils wound, he claimed he could LOS and take the ghost helm save from a farseer rather than flatout lose a warlock. We concluded that, while the perils was from a shooting attack, the wound was 'suffered' and not 'allocated' and therefore could not be LOS.

I'm open to hear what the community thinks however. Can you lookout sir against perils, or other wound inflicting occurances like dangerous terrain that fall outside of the normal shooting or combat rules?

Did the character have a Wound allocated to him?

If yes, you may LOS.

If no, no LOS.

(Perils and Dangerous Terrain skip allocation)

Right, that was what i was going with, I wanted to see what the consensus was regarding if the wounds from LOS and dangerous terrain were 'allocated' or not.

They are not allocated, because the rules do not say they are.
