Whew that was fun, and rough. Lots of rules.

So we played 200 points.

I took

Asura LT
Dakini Tacbot Combi
Dakini Tacbot HMG
Naga Sniper (awesome, took out the Yu Jing Missile Launcher first turn first activation)
2 x Netrod
Post Human Doctor
Post Human Hacker

By the end we were both in retreat, but she got 2 points for objectives.

About a ton of rules questions came up, since neither of my friends had seen Aleph played before, and me neither. We learned about what happens when your post human who last activated dies, good job. We ran into a few others but for sake of not taking forever we probably fudged some stuff.

So like if the Post Human Hacker dies, do the Tacbots and other Post Human stop working? Because in the army building to have Post Humans, you must have a Hacker.

You need a hacker to TAKE remotes in your list.
Not to make them work on the table.

If the hacker dies on the table, remotes (like tactbots) still operate as independent units.

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.

That is not dead which can eternal lie ...

... and yet, with strange aeons, even death may die.

Unfortunately Aleph is like CA in that they have some tricky extra rules. I'm glad it went well for you. There are "more" rules than other war games but once you get used to the basics it should work out. Then you will be faster and faster.

Also, if one Posthuman dies, the other one is fine provided you're able to get the Ghost:Jumper in there in time; you have Netrods, so this shouldn't be a problem.

Ok, so we did not play that wrong. I was worried that if the hacker died, then all remotes would cease working.

It was overall a close game with me killing more points worth of stuff, but failing at the objectives.

So glad just to not be borrowing someone elses army to play.

Aleph are as said previously a tricky army to play, low model count and a lot of special rules. Still from what I can see you got the basics done fairly well particuarly since you had the very complex to figure out post humans in there right from the start.

I hope you plan to include the Post Human Proxy mk2 Sniper in your army at some point, infiltration combined with TO camoflage on a model armed with a multisniper rifle is simply obcene. In my first game with her on the table I had pretty much my both opponent's entire armies (3 player game) gunning for her for 2 whole turns because of the havok she was causing. I think by the time she went down she'd killed about 6 models most of which were by ARO.

Goodlord that does sound obscene. I thought about running the MK2 Sniper, and also thought about running the Engineer, but because of points costs, I figured I would start with using the naga sniper and tweaking from there.

I also do not own the sniper or engineer model, but I will eventually.

Thanks for the advice for how to further beat the snot out of my opponents. Taking out the Yu Jing Missile Launcher turn 1 first activation was a thing of beauty though.

Personally for a doctor and engineer I'd suggest the Sophotect as she is both and you can attach a yudbot to her to further boost her effectivness.
