Would it be okay in our current edition to use my imperial guard army allied with a force from codex Daemon hunters? im going for an Inquisitorial theme and thought it would be kool

Daemon hunters aren't even mentioned in 6th ed. You can ally up with Grey Knights though and have your Inquisitor army.
(of course they wouldn't be Battle Brothers, but your IGs being suspicious of the Inquisitors would be right along with the fluff.)

yeh i guess, but still there an official codex, and minitures and i just want IG and probs an inquisitor lord with some daemon hosts, as my HQ. and in the codex it says you can ally haha :( but yeh your right about the fluff for sure haha

If you can find people willing to let you play it, fine. But that's the exception, not the norm. Also be aware the C:GK replaces CH, and Daemon Hunters may be largely incompatible with 6th ed.

oh im sorry haha now i totally get what your saying use my IG as the main army then ally with Grey nights and use all the Inquisitrial stuff, awesome idea thanks man!

Well books are superseded by newer books anyway, and the models can all still be used in some way to my knowledge. Anyway, just run IG with Grey Knight allies. Stinks that you need Coteaz to get henchmen as troops though.
