Subject: The BlackDog Commissions Plog (and more): Malifaux Showgirls crew = finished!

Since I don't want to clutter my Tumblr blog ( http://bdogstudio.tumblr.com/ ) with WiP shots of the myriad of projects I'm working on, I'm setting up this plog! I will attempt to update once a week with progress on my many projects which threaten to overrun my painting desk.
Speaking of which, here is list of all the projects I'm working on. Green text=finished , orange=WiP, and red=waiting to be started.
Personal Projects:
Unit of 50 Orc Big Uns
Unit of 40 Savage Orcs
Unit of 40 Black Orcs
Empire Battle Wizard
Tomb Kings Necrosphinx
200 point Axis Dust Warfare army
200 point Allies Dust Warfare army
Misc. Dust units for eBay
Commissions:
Malifaux Showgirls Crew
Hordes Croak Hunter
Invasion From Outer Space boardgame figures
Last Night on Earth figures
Nurgle Chaos Lord
Look at all that orange! Hopefully you guys will be able to keep me motivated as I slog through all of these models.
And to start things off, here are some shots of some of the projects I have going!
The Nurgle Lord:
The Fire Wizard:
Colette from the Showgirls crew:
Dancer #1 from the Showgirls crew:
Hordes Croak Hunter:
Aaand a speedpainted Dust Warfare Ludwig walker for the Axis.
Feel free to leave your thoughts, musings, critical analysis, or anything at all! But please comment-I need the motivation to get through all of these models.
Cheers,
_Tim?
Edit: Gah, the Dakka uploader made all of my photos look pixelated and foggy, so I replaced them.

Right! I finished all the heavy infantry for my Dust Warfare Allies army. It feels really good to be able to sit back and see them all lined up and ready to go.
Tank Busters:
Grim Reapers:
The Hammers:
Rhino. This model has a really weird facial sculpt, which I'm wanting to swap out.
Aaand a group shot! They look like a nice cohesive force while the units all retain their own style, which is just what I was aiming for.
Enjoy!

I painted this Chaos Space Marine up for fun yesterday. He took me all of about an hour, and was painted to prepare myself for any Dark Vengeance commissions that might be winging my way.
Speaking of Dark Vengeance, if you place a commission for me to paint that set between now and October 1st, I can paint the entire set up to the standard exhibited by the CSM above for $250. This price includes assembly and basing, and is the lowest price you will be able to find anywhere!

Here are some quick shots of my desk and what is on it! I really need to get some shelves made up for my models. On the left you can see my Dust Warfare models, some of which will be going up on eBay, and on the right are my misc. projects. Close-up of the Malifaux. The painting area. Check out that music selection! You can also see the LNoE/IfOS commission I'm working on, as well as a small unit of Chaos Space marines for a raffle I'm planning, and a Empire Fire wizard for the same raffle. By the way, I have a painted Dust Tactics Pounder up for sale on eBay! You can see it, and maybe even bid on it, here > http://www.ebay.com/itm/251135590978?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649 And some pictures: Enjoy! _Tim?

Right! The Malifaux stuff is slowly winding down, and should all be finished by the end of the week. I still need to get the birds painted, and the checkered bases need to be worked on, which will be a pain in the @ ss.
Meanwhile, I have two new commissions to share with y'all. First up, I have a long-term Malifaux Ramos crew commission, to be painted in bits and pieces. The crew includes Ramo, Joss, a Steamborg Executioner, two Large Steampunk Arachnids, a Brass Arachnid, an Electrical Creation 2 Soulstone Miners and a crud ton of Arachnid Swarms. I have already painted the first of the Soulstone miners, and if I dare say so myself, I'm very happy with it.
I also received a box full of Black Templars today! These will be really fun to paint. I'm going to be doing the Power Weapons on the Bikers in the Garfy style, as seen here > http://taleofpainters.blogspot.co.uk/2012/04/tutorial-how-to-paint-grey-knights.html
On the left you can see the parts for 4 Bikers, and on the right are the parts for 11 Neophyte Scouts.
Enjoy!

Working on some power weapons! I'm using the Garfy method, and it is really working out well.
Also, me and my freelancer are starting in on a BIG Daemons army commission near the end of the month. We are going to be painting up Kairos Fateweaver, a Lord of Change, 27 Flamers of Tzeentech, a Changeling, 30 Pink Horrors, and 27 Screamers of Tzeentech. Should be fun! The pink horrors are going to be very interesting.
As always, feel free to comment on anything you see on this plog!
Cheers!

Well, I have finally finished the Showgirls commission! This has easily been the most colorful commission I have ever undertaken, and I loved it. I'm seriously considering getting into Malifaux myself with some of the new plastic kits. Wyrd's metal models are stellar, but they are mega fragile, especially models like the Coryphee or the Mannequins. Onto the pictures. Group shot: The gals. They are a pretty bunch, aren't they? Colettes facial expression is a little disturbing, though. And I also finished the Hordes Croak Hunter: Enjoy the pictures, and feel free to comment! Cheers! _Tim? The walker is made by Fantasy Flight Games. The kit is only $25 MSRP, but you can find it online for $16. They are wonderful models.
