Um, FW IS GW. They are a sister company based on the same site in Nottingham. All of their upgrade kits are designed to be compatible.

You're absolutely safe - all of Forge World's products are designed on the same scale as regular GW products, and will fit regular models where appropriate.

However, due to the particular kind of resin plastics that FW uses, there may be 'warping' or other matierial issues with the sprue. Remember to check that what you've bought is not bent, missing parts or has small bubbles of empty space dotted around the model - you're completely within your rights as a customer to send it back and ask for a replacement.
Anther consideration is that FW plastic products often come covered in a thin oily film - this is normal. It's applied during production, and will come off after a soak in warm soapy water and possibly a light scrub.

Going off at a complete tangent here, what exactly are you going on about? PP has no sister company that makes resin parts and POM's only resin/metal hybrid kit so far is their Battle Engine.

Huh. A lot of people (especially those who convert) have models that contain plastic, metal and resin parts.

What do you mean metal and resin are not compatible?

actually, i find theyre not always the exact same size, I find some of the forgeworld guard models are properly proportioned. My tauros driver seemed tiny in comparison to a normal guardman, so i had to cut him out and replace him
