This is my first allies list, and more so simply thrown together to have fun Running it at 2500 points and double foc, so i could double up the marines.(something i have always wanted to try.)

3 Rune priests
Jaws (on all three/and three separate powers. Each one will join a grey hunter squad of 7)

4 Wolf guard (all same, split for 4 grey hunter units)
Storm shield
wolf claw

Grey hunters

3 units of 7
Melta

1 unit of 10
2 meltas

Longfangs (4 units of 6)
Missile Launchers (of course lol)

Space Marines

MoF x2 (have not decided where to stick them yet, more then likely with the sniper scouts and maybe give the LF the cover if need be.)

Storm talonx2
Typhoon missile launchers (one per talon)

Kind of a wonky list, I mainly throwing everything i have always wanted to try in one mix matched list, again...it's purely for fun/test out models. I like the idea of mixing a wolf guard and a rune priest in a unit of grey hunters together. And the scouts are simply there as a cheap troop choice so i can get my wolves some fliers lol. as always C and C welcome

Lots of comments:

1) You don't need 3 rune priests, 2 is already overkill. But even if you take more than one, then you have to give each of them different wargear. That'll cost you a minimum of 5 points per extra rune priest.

2) You can't have 4 Long Fang squads because you only have 3 heavy support choices in your primary detachment.

3) It' going to be difficult to get close enough to use those meltaguns if your Grey Hunters have to walk.

4) I don't play vanilla marines, so I could be mistaken but...Aren't masters of the forge just fancy techmarines? Why would you take them in a list that doesn't have any vehicles?

5) I like the idea of scout snipers to sit on objectives in the back field and shoot.

6) Not sure about the storm talons. I think you could get something better for 150 points (and $50!) each.

Hiya Grugknuckle, First off..love the name lol.

1.) I know 3 is overkill, but i can't help myself. I am actually changing the list up to fit 4 in. And i did forget about the waergear thing, ill fix that thank you for reminding me.

2.) I am doing double foc, so 4 longfangs are fine.

3.) I planned on dropping the pods down onto objectives.OR just go balls out, drop down and eradicate whatever i can lol.

4.) moF is a HQ choice for 100 points. Im not taking him for vehicles, im taking him due to i have to take a hq for allies, and he is the most useful i feel. I only want him for bolster defense.

5.) I am actually thinking of reversing this list, and running a crazy scout outflanking list (painting them Imperial fists because i like yellow lol) with lots of Speeders, storm speeders and Storm talons. Then have a allies detachment of my SW drop pod unit idea . (i might end up doing this, because again this list is for fun only...and also i have a 46 table full of wolves and marines i am doing nothing at all with)

6.) The Stormtalon is 130 points base. i could take it base but with the missiles it's 150 as you said yes..but i love fliers..i always have loved airpower. The cash value isn't a big deal to me as i do alot of commission painting, and sometimes i take models for painting lol.

I am re working the list. I have a few different ways i could go with this, and keep the feel i want with the wolves (with my idea of shock units pouring from drop pods) As i said i could also turn it around and run vanilla marines and Wolves as allies. Unsure yet.
