Hello, i have a question about attacks using different weapons in assault, i want to know what happens when a model uses different assault weapons and what effect weapons have on said model.

my examples, a model with a power weapon and a pistol gets +1 attack, but how many of them ignore saves?

A chaplain with a powerfist and a power weapon gets +1 attack but again, which of them are taken at double strength and at I 1 and which ignore armour saves?

and an ironclad with a seismic hammer and a DCCW, has 3 attacks because of the +1 attack from 2 DCCW, but how many attacks add +1 on the vehicle damage table?

You choose which weapon is used then all the attacks follow the rules for that weapon.

As above, you pick a weapon to fight with. Then see if anything can modify it.

A power fist is a Specialist Weapon. So you MUST have a second specialist weapon to get the bonus attack for having 2 CCWs.

If you have a Pistol and a non-specialist weapon, like a power sword. You will get +1A and all of them will be AP3(as thats the AP of the power sword)


An Ironclad will have 3 attacks and all of them will give +1 on the damage table for being AP2, and another +1 for being made with a Seismic Hammer.

ok great that all makes sense to me. So the chaplain gets no attack bonuses, and i need to choose whether those 2 attacks are double strength I 1 or usual initiative with no save allowed?

May want to reread the following sections

- Specialist weapons pg 43
- Close Combat weapons pg 51

1) PW + pistol = +1 attack all as PW
2) PF + PW = no +1 attack and all attacks as either PF or PW (no mix and match)
3) 3 DCCW = +1 attack all with DCCW rules

The save allowed depends on the power weapon.

Read the rules on power weapons in the 6th edition book to see how they work.

The Chaplain's Cruxius is a power maul, and so gives +2Str and is AP4 for example. So it would be a choice between Str8 AP2 at I1 or Str6 AP4 at I4.
