This is for my guardians of the covenant chapter ( http://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Guardians_of_the_Covenant#.UC2PbaP89uk )
I am not sure if the blue is a good complement and wanted to see what dakka thought and if a different color would work better in its place.
Any ideas are welcome.

I'm not a fan, honestly. Silver and gold are interchangeable with white and yellow (respectively), so you basically have all three primaries plus black and white. Far from complementing the scheme, the blue actually gives a bit of a "kid's coloring book" vibe by completing the trio. I wouldn't even use two different metals, unless that was all you were using. I feel like this is one of those "less is more" cases.

I think if the skull and the crossed bones were a bone colour, then it would pop
As it is, I get a usa patriot vibe from the red, blue and silver lol, no offense intended (if any one happens to be patriotic, thats great) but the look always seems to be cheesy in 40k

I apologize for the picture quality (or lack of) still learning how best to use my camera.
@oadie I agree that it looked a bit cartoonish
@HairySticks I took your advice and changed it to bone color
and here it is
I am thinking a sepia wash on the bone and a black on the metal/red would be my next step. Again thoughts, comments and critiques welcome.

Yeah that looks nice, the bone contrasts well with the red and black. Look forward to seeing a fully painted model.
