This is my first army list so any pointers would be very welcome.

All comes to 1500 spot on, I've also got;
x10 shooter terminators
x2 dreads
Calgar and honour gaurd

that i could swap in and out. so any suggestions?

I guess if your idea is to bring the fight to the enemy, this looks solid.

The tacticals will struggle without a transport, however.

They'd be left behind, trying to run toward the enemy the Terminators have already engaged. That's something worth thinking about.

Really not fond of assault squads.

I would use the dreads as you'll want to have as much mech, to protect the raider, as possible.
Then a rhino for a tactical squad.
