The list itself is simple enough, but I think it could be devastating against just about any opponent. Here's what I'm thinking:
Logan Grimnar, 6 Long Fangs with Multi-Meltas + Drop Pod
10 Wolf Guard with Combi-Flamers + Drop Pod
6 Wolf Guard with Combi-Meltas + Drop Pod
6 Wolf Guard with Combi-Meltas + Drop Pod
9 Wolf Guard with Combi-Plasmas, Rune Priest with Meltabombs (Living Lightning, Jaws) + Drop Pod
9 Wolf Guard with Combi-Plasmas, Rune Priest (Living Lightning, Murderous Hurricane) + Drop Pod
2 Vindicators with Siege Shields
All of that should come to exactly 2000 (or 1999+1) points. Both Rune Priests will normally take Divination for the rerolls, but I can keep their normal powers if I need to.
I feel like there's enough firepower to deal with anything, even if most of it is only "one-shot". Against hordes, 10 flamers and 2 large blasts will do well. Against mech, there's 18 melta weapons and the demolisher cannons. Against elite infantry or multi-wound models, the Vindicators and 18 TL (hopefully) plasma guns will help. Most of these guns are coming down on turn 1...within 6-12" (night fighting doesn't matter)...anywhere I want.
I'm practically guaranteed to get First Blood and Line Breaker. There's 5 scoring units, each going wherever I want. There's great psychic defense.
My only concern is with Mechanized MSU, which I expect will become less popular. If my opponent has 6 units sitting in Razorbacks or Venoms, I won't be doing much damage when everything comes in. Even then, I could leave the Rune Priests with Living Lightning and hit 5 or 6 transports on the first turn.
So any thoughts? Where is this list weak? Any improvements that could be made? Thanks!
